These flat bottomed steam ships paddles churned up the muddy waters of the mighty Fraser. The SS Surprise, a side wheeler, was the first paddle wheeler to sail during the Fraser River’s gold rush and why we are proud Canadians North of the 49. This delicious light straw–colored blonde ale has a clean-tasting malt flavour and nose with a beaded white head and a delicate bitterness flavour. It finishes with a dry, light pleasant aftertaste.
