Bottle from the brewery, under "Heavy Aged Scotch Ale". Pours a hazy red-amber colour with a frothy beige head, decent retention and some spotted lacing. Caramel and apples mostly compose the scent. Mild other dark fruits. The mouthfeel is silky and smooth, with just a tad warming after the finish, into the lingering part. Nicely not too sweet in the mouth, so not syrupy and some dryness starts forming in the end. Hints of nuttiness, well-blended dark fruits, decent hops over the caramel base. Was not sure to enjoy this one at first sip, but this one is really growing on my now. One easy-drinking Scotch ale.
