Citra Grove is a bright and hazy dry hopped sour. Dry, tart and lightly funky, this ale is fermented with our house culture of yeasts, lactobacillus and brettanomyces, and is liberally dry hopped with Citra. With notes of orange, pineapple and melon, Citra Grove has a tangy acidity and a subtle earthiness. Pairs exceptionally well with spicy foods.

Pours a hazy yellow-beige colour, lemonade-looking, with a white bubbly head, decent retention but not much lacing. Beautiful fresh citra hop aromas with lots of citrus notes, light grassiness and Belgian Ale yeast soft-sweetness. Looking at the 14 IBU, wondering how hoppy this will be judging from the nose. Wow, first sip is crazy sour, not bitter. Then I read the description on the label. Yep, a sour. Decent fruitiness, earthiness and yeast. Gets better as it goes, glad I tried, but not one I would have again. Interesting to say the least.

Not one of my favorite styles of beer and my score reflects that. Odd looking cloudy pale yellow. Great head with good retention and lacing. Funky yeast and spice aroma. Highly carbonated watery mouthfeel. Flavour is bandaid type yeast, lemon, grass, spice, slightly floral and sour. Wish I'd have shared this bottle so I didn't have to down it all. Don't like the price either.

750ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a huge frothy white head that sticks around for quite a while and leaves behind lots of sticky dirty lacing. Has a cloudy yellow orangey appearance. Great retention. Aromas are floral and citrusy pretty much out of the gate with some strong lemon notes blending in. Flavours are equally citrusy and floral but lots of lemony and tarty notes on top of it all. Has quite a bit of sourness on the palate. Slick and tangy mouthfeel. Medium body and somewhat excessive carbonation. Pretty good but not a constant drinking type beer. One and done after one for me but would have again if opportunity arises.
