This limited edition version of Jelly King includes a large dose of strawberry and rhubarb purees, blended on top of a mixed fermentation sour ale. In addition, we added a complimentary dose of Citra-Mosaic-Cascade in the dry hop. The result is juicy, sour, and bursting with jammy aroma and flavour that comes enrobed in a dusty rose hue. A classic combo served on top of a sour beer for your pleasure.

The beer pours an extremely hazed medium gold colour, reddish highlights, with a thin white head that eventually becomes a ring. The lacing is decent . The aroma is cereal malts, tart fruits, and yeast. Not a lot of hop aroma here. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grassy malt, tart fruit, and yeast. The beer describes itself as Strawberry Rhubarb but I detect neither in the aroma or the flavour and having made dozens of Strawberry Rhubarb pies over the years, I know strawberry rhubarb quite well.

500ml bottle from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy off-white head and has a cloudy orangey coloured appearance. Some decent sticky lacing remains. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas of rhubarb and strawberries are immediately noticeable along with some wheaty and yeasty notes. Flavours of rhubarb are at the forefront with the strawberries more towards the finish, with some tartiness on the palate. Quite a lot of sourness but not too strong and overpowering. Pretty good!

500ml bottle that pours a hazy golden-orange colour with tiny bubbles, sparkling active carbonation. The head is bubbly with average stay and some light foamy lacing. The strawberry and rhubarb blend well in the nose to make a soft fruitiness, plus some citrus and lactic acid bacteria sourness. The taste is milder, but still fruity, but hard to make out the two fruits. A nice sour note stays on course. Another decent Jelly King.
