The Russian Imperial Stout is a very strong variant of the stout originally developed by English brewers in the 18th century to export to the court of Catherine the Great in Russia. This extremely dark and complex beer has intense aromas and flavours of malt, burnt chocolate, dark fruit, fresh earth and vanilla. A portion will be aged and released next year.

Tall can from Cheshire Cat Pub to take home. Pours a huge frothy brownish head with thick soapy and dirty lace. Has a deep dark brown appearance. Medium carbonation. Good retention. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark roasted malt, cacao nibs, subtle spices. Flavours are dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, some notes of licorice and hints of cacao. Smooth and slick creamy mouthfeel. goes down extremely well for a strong beer. Great stuff!

The beer pours a solid blackish-brown with a dark brown creamy cap. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, and vanilla come through loud and clear. Mouthfeel is full-bodied, creamy, and with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate, and a hint of molasses. Excellent beer.
