from notes (bomber)...big black heavy oily beer with tar like aspects...light smoke, riasins, chocolate, coffee. Bitter and semi sweet. Not bad, not best in class either. Hit the spot, though.

Strong aroma has a firm overtone of sweet chocolate, like getting a good whiff of a Hershey bar, along with smoky, coffee and nutty hints. It pours a mouth-watering sable that is opaque save at the very edges and has a thick, fluffy, persistent light tan head that leaves some substantial lacing. Smoky flavor has tones of coffee, licorice, molasses and nuts and is subtly sweet - and has quite the alcohol kick! Texture is fizzy and lively, a little oily, very pleasing. This one is worth seeking.

I’m looking at my notes about this beer from a week ago, they are very point form and choppy but I’m to lazy to fell in proper sentences so I’ll review it exactly the way I wrote it down. Extreme dark brown ……..small skiff….good roapy lacing………sweet coffee…….chocolate……vanilla……smooth……. chalky earth feel……..bitter lingers…..massive bitter lingers. Strawberry?!?!?!

Pours out in a opaque black colour with a beige creamy lasting head. Big aroma of black coffee, black chocolate, tar with a strong presence of leafy, minty and citric hops. Big and uncompromising flavour and mouthfeel of black bitter coffee, grapefruit, mint, pine-needles and cocoa. Long bitter finish of grapefruit, menthol, coffee, pepper and alcohol. Extravagant and bold stuff.

Bottled. Opaque black colour with small brown head. Aroma is roast, alcohol, fruits, yeast and hops. Flavour is very much the same with some mild vanilla, old coffee and salted licorice. Rather out of balance for my taste with all the sweetish sour stuff mixed into this one.

a very ballzy beer. poured a rich and enchanted nature brown. i like what eaglefan said i has the thickness of motor oil! but the taste is enriched with fruit and a fish oil like after taste! bar-b-q prums~ nice amount of carbonation. its a little acidy~

Beautiful, very hoppy smell with dates. Pepper and citrus along with a bit of ash. The roastiness has a bit of conflict with the hops, though. This is a very hoppy imperial stout. I’d love to see that hop profile on a brown ale, though.

I'm a bit disappointed in the fact that the beer's label says it's from New Mexico but apparently it's from Oregon? And here I was thinking I'd be able to check of a beer from New Mexico (I've already got plenty of beers from Old Mexico). The beer pours out suprisingly still. I mean really still with basically no head. I like head. Head is good so when you have no head, can that still be good? Anyways, the aroma is slightly boozey, a roasted smokeyness, licorice and figs as well as the expected sweet malts. Alcohol also permeates the senses. Appearance is jet black but due to not having any head, it gets a few points knocked off. Medium body. Flavors of roasted malts, coffee, scorched chocolate, alcohol and dark fruits. Not a world class stout, but still tasty.

Pours with a black head topped by a pencil thin head with little to no lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with an underlying rotten fruit note. The flavor is sweet and malty with a strong roasty note, a touch of alcohol and a hoppy bitterness. Full bodied and smooth yet slightly warming.
