Beer Flag and Spivi, Norway's official distributor of Fernet Branca would like to present to you, Birra Del Famoso. A beer designed to pair perfectly with the famous bitter dram. Spivi instructed us at beer flag what they wanted, and we went to work constructing a beer with new hops from Germany, (Callista, Monroe, and Mandarina Bavaria) France, (Barbe Rouge) and the classic Saaz hops to bring about a slightly fruity and hoppy hop profile. To support these exciting hops, we use Norwegian specialty malts that provide a beautiful subtle fruity, honey flavor and understated sweetness. Together you get a beer that is the perfect chaser to the perfect shot. Skål!

330 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.8%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fresh grassy and slightly citric and floral aroma. Crisp pilsener flavour (not too sweet) with well balanced herbal and slightly citric notes throughout. A very nice pilsener, no more, no less - and I feel no need to have a shot of Fernet Branca at the side. Might well drink this one again.
