Didn't taste anything like a scotch ale. Nicely carbonated, but I couldn't get past the flavor. It just wasn't right. I didn't even finish this beer.

The beer looks fine, but is has a licorice flavor to it. It is a little hoppy for the style.

This beer, though not really horrible, is a disgrace to Scottish Ales. First, at 5% it is too weak. Second, the flavor is much more on the hoppy side, totally opposite of the norm. The bittersweet flavor is not very good but is fairly smoothe. The only respectable aspect is its nice, creamy head and dark brown color.
