Between the age of the horse drawn buggy and the modern three-car garage, there was a time when the streetcar was the greatest invention of the day. These "trolley cars" were the elite mode of transportation, and Avondale was the proud home of the first one of its kind in the area. Every day businessmen and school children alike would grace the No. 41 streetcar to and from Avondale to their respective destinations, making stops of course at Avondale Park, Lakeview, and Forest Park. Over the years the original mule powered streetcar line was upgraded to electrical power and thanks to the No. 41 streetcar, Avondale Park became among the most popular day trip destinations in the region.

Aroma is yeasty and malty. Pours a clear solar yellow with a thick, fine-bubbled ivory head. Richly malty flavor has accompanying notes of yeast and fresh-baked bread. Smooth, firm texture has a good fizz. Hop on this streetcar!

Standard fare kolsch for the most part. This one seemed to have a bit more flavor, but that could be its freshness - which is always an added bonus. Clear golden yellow with a pillowy moderate head and grassy-floral aroma. Crisp and clean throughout.
