Brewed in the classic American Pilsner style, our popular Pils is a tribute to the pre-prohibition lagers developed & brewed by immigrant German brew-masters as they settled in the United States in the 1800's. This is a medium-bodied straw colored Pilsner with an elegant hop bitterness & lingering aroma. Brewer’s notes: A touch of maize lends a subtle sweetness and light body. Awards: 2nd place- Cal state fair 2011, Bronze medal 2010 GABF, 2nd Place ~ California State Fair 2010

    Sampler at Auburn -

This is the way a pilsner should taste. Clean, crisp malt flavor mingling with peppery, grassy hops with just a twinge of sourdough-like tartness in there. My mouth is watering for another one. Great brew.

actually pretty good for a pilsner, but pales (no pun intended) comapared to Auburn's BIG ales. Pleasing aroma, crisp and refreshing, but nothing that stands out.
