Once upon a time, three of our brewers crafted special batches of American Presidential, our annual President's Day imperial stout, in a contest to see who could make the best-tasting beer using additional ingredients. This is the version that won. It's brewed with cacao nibs, vanilla bean, and house-toasted coconut.

Slim tall 12oz can pours with a deep dark colored body that supports thin tan ring of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate cake paired with dark roasted coffee, malt balls and then a touch of dark fruity esters. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of chocolate, some dark roasted malts, a thin layer of sweet vanilla and moving into slick sweet malts. To midway modest booziness grows to help even out the richness some as a hint of vague nuttiness ushers this toward the finish. Really nice flavours here. Yeah, solid brew.
