In the late 1800s, the popularity of the Czech-style pilsner led German brewers to create their own variety using the country’s signature water profile and available domestic hops. Bögen, translated to “Arches” in German, pours a golden blonde color with a pure white head. This crisp, dry pilsner is light in body and exhibits a bready, spicy aroma. While the beer finishes exceptionally clean, pronounced noble hop bitterness is present from the addition of Perle, Hallertauer, and Tettnang hops.
