Imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with toasted coconut, Madagascar and Tahitian vanilla, and coffee. We've matured our imperial stout in premium bourbon barrels for an extended period of time and added coffee, toasted coconut, and a blend of Madagascar and Tahitian vanilla to create the perfect blend of flavors. Cheers!

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Pint crowler can pours with a deep dark 10K mile used motor oil colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up an inviting blend of chocolate, dark roasted coffee and some nutty coconut to go along with murmurs of sweet malts and a sense of the boozy barrel character. The taste delivers smooth slick sweet malty and vanilla goodness. Quickly dark roasted malts, dark roasted and slightly oily coffee and chocolate join in to take this to deeper realms. Toward the finish barrel character begins to be noticed with modestly growing booziness and a soft supple sense of bourbon spirits. Another stellar barrel aged beer from Alesmith where the length of barrel treatment is spot-on creating wonderful balance of flavours.
