Bring Out The Imp is our 10.5% ABV Imperial Stout that's making waves in 70 Waitrose stores nationwide. As you can probably guess, this is a big hitter with the flavour to back it up. It's complex, interesting, unique and possibly the biggest % imperial stout to hit supermarket shelves. Chocolate, raisin, vanilla, liqourice and woody notes all compliment eachother in this one to create something we believe to be truly special.

330ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a fairly small foamy tan head that dissipates to a very thin coating. Some bubbly lace. Has a pitch black appearance with some amber highlights. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of licorice, toasted malts, some dark chocolate notes and a bit of vanilla. Flavours are dark dried fruits, molasses, licorice, some dark chocolate notes. Some woodsy and earthy notes as well. Slick and oily mouthfeel. Just slightly boozy, enough to get a little buzz going but with tons of flavour.

The beer pours a translucent copper hued solid black colour when held up to a strong white light. The cap is light brown in colour, creamy, and about 2cm think. The aroma is roasted nuts, soy sauce, nuts, and oatmeal, and maybe a whiff of alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by roasted malt and alcohol with hints of leather/charred wood, coffee, nuts, and dark chocolate. Sadly the leathery taste and the alcohol being so noticeable kill this beer.
