Our wicked Belgian dubbel has a slightly spicy, fruity nose to balance the deep caramel flavors and silky finish.

Pours clear chestnut with a frothy and rather persistent buff head. Rich aroma has caramel, toasty malt, clove and fruit notes, demanding a taste. Flavor delivers what the aroma promises, adding a snip of cherry to the fruit mix and a nutty hint as well. Texture has decent body and fizz, and a fruity and spicy finish. Diabolical.

Waited all year for this release, not a bad beer but not what I hoped for either. Very mild all around, some dark fruits and bread in the nose and tongue but very faint. Mouthfeel is a little thin and the aftertaste is somewhat stale. The grand cru is worthy but this double isn't for me.

Sampled on draught FINALLY: pours a semi hazey copper colour wiht a full beige head which quickly settles down. Aroma is pleasent, geneorous of caramel and soft hops, little bit of bready malts too. TAste is pleasent, not quite as heavy as i thought it would be. Rich in dark fruit and notes of toffee and licorice.
