On the evening of August 28th, 2011, I witnessed the destruction of The Alchemist Pub and Brewery. Moments before the flood waters rolled across the dining room floor, I could hear my tanks bobbing against the floor from underneath my feet. 18 tanks of beer were poured down the drain, two survived. Through an unprecedented collaboration of Vermont brewers, I am pleased to offer you a one-of-a-kind beer release.

Pours opaque coffee with a minimal head. Aroma delivers roast malt, toffee, molasses and subtle coffee tones. Flavor presents rich roast malt, chocolate, coffee, molasses and toffee - now this is a stout! Texture features viscous body and lively fizz. Luscious!

Bottle is 18 months month old, although you wouldn't know it. A very dark brown with black edges and creamy brown cap make up the appearance, quite elegant. The aroma was dark chocolate, vanilla, black licorice, and coffee. The flavour was a decadent mix of roasted coffee, molasses, licorice, and chocolate. Too decadent to be great however.
