Pitch Black with light Brown foam head, lacing. Aroma is strong bitter coffee, taste is not too bitter at the start, but turning better over time. (Barnsley 201310)

Bottled. Very deep brown colour, close to black, with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is malts, roasted notes, raisins, coffee and some mild notes of liquorice. Flavour is strong on the malty side and also has roasted notes and quite a bunch of bready and ryebready notes in it. As it warms up coffee, liquorice, some raisins, dark fruits as well as some mild sappy notes come through. Very wellbalanced and bigtime coffeeish aftertaste.
