Our Russian Imperial Stout is aged in freshly emptied whiskey barrels Months of meticulous aging imparts a complexity of flavors that include caramelized coconut, vanilla and dark chocolate. This combination of tastes pairs well with heartier dishes.

Gotta disagree fully with the last review. Forget who makes this. Complex as all get out. Pours black as night. Flavor and aromas of vanilla, fudge, coconut, graham cracker, bourbon. Thick and sweet, but not cloying, and very very smooth, especially with an abv somewhere around 12% or so. This was THE unanimous favorite at our last tasting. An absolutely delicious impy stout. A medal winner at GABF, and I can see why.

750 ml bottle, batch 1 bottle 1132/1344. Pours dark brown black with a small brown head that quickly goes to a thin collar that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is rich bakers chocolate, grains, vanilla and some bourbon. More alcohol comes out as it warms.

The flavor is sweet rich chocolate and vanilla with a lot of pretty harsh bitter alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, good and flavorful especially for Coors but too sweet and alcoholic.
