Nice yellow color, large lasting foam. Bit much carbon gas, fizzy. Slightly bittersweet and some fruity aroma far away and lasting bittersweet taste. (Moortgat - Arnhem)

From Galleries Lafayette, in Paris (Oct 2009). Poured an enduring, towering white head. Lots of lacing found here. Dark orange body, somewhat cloudy. Yeast and alcohol for the nose, along with some spiciness. Flavour was yeasty, spicy, and lightly sugared. Mouthfeel not as substantial as hoped for. Sour notes at the finish.

The label's mention of cane sugar made me think twice before buying this one, but I’m sure glad I did. For the price, this was a really good beer. After popping the cork, the initial aroma is of bread, Belgian yeast and cinnamon. Spice, cloves and brown sugar dominate the taste. Sweet fruits and brown sugar finish the bouquet. The appearance is more pale than I would have expected based on previous reviews. There is a massive light foam head which refuses to go away and this is a good thing. Aroma in the glass: Belgian yeast and fruit. Mouthfeel- Light, thin and bubbly- quickly disappears. Taste- Lacks a little depth. It is dry, astringent and slightly sour; almost like a Flemish. Finish- short, sweet and slightly bitter. Saccharin and brown sugar. In short, this is a beautiful Belgian ale with a great aroma. However, the taste, mouthfeel and finish are just slightly lacking.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Deep golden colour, pours very fizzy with a huge white head. Moderate but pleasant aroma with spicy and fruity (orange peel) notes. The flavour is fairly sweet with some spicy notes, acceptable hops in the finish.

A golden color with a spicy citrus aroma. The flavor contains some lemons with a good malt presence. The mouthfeel is carbonated. A simple rating for a simple beer I guess.

Clear amber, wich white gead. Orange-marmelade, winegums and bubblegum in aroma. Oranges, sugar and old bubblegum in flavour with a sweet aftertaste of mandarin and white pepper.

All I can say is that I don't like this style of beer.

Believe it or not, we used this brew as a substitute for champagne at my friends wedding. You can imagine the surprise when yours truly, the best man, told everyone to raise their glass of "Belgian Champagne" to toast the bride and groom. At any rate, Floreffe Triple is a typical Belgian triple, with the usual perfumey nose, and citrus, spice and sugary tasting notes. A certain malt scent wafted from the confines. The hue is a foggy light gold to dark yellow with a nice rocky white head that takes forever to melt. The finish is pleasantly alcoholic. I love Belgian Abbey Ales!

Bottled. Hazy amber colour with huge creamyish foamy head. Aroma of spices and fruits, with slight hints of wheat and yeast also. Flavour is yeast, fruits, wheat and slight honey + alcohol. Quite strange tripel in a way, but then again, it’s like witbier meets tripel... Overall quite pleasant. Palate is both watery and also a quite rich carbonation ruins it a bit.
