This is a California Common Ale, an American original popularized in Northern California during the Gold Rush. Technically a lager, but fermented at warmer ale temperatures, the Stimulus Package has clean, crisp and dry flavors making it quaffable by itself or with food. It’s brewed with Northern Brewer and Cascade hops and rings in at 4.5% ABV. Have you received your share?

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8
Comes out of the tap a clear, dark coppery golden-brown with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled off-white head. Aroma is malty and slightly hoppy, not complex but intriguing. Flavor is lively and mainly hoppy with a spicy undertone and mild bitterness. Texture is thick, smooth and tingly. Finish is hoppy and slightly spicy.
