This Belgian ale has dark amber color and complex malt character with caramel and roast notes. Fermentation with our Trappist yeast adds balanced flavor of raisins and dates. Full-bodied but finishing slightly dry with a slight alcohol heat.

Taps opaque chocolate brown with a heavy tan head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma offers dark fruit, roast malt, and a little caramel. Flavor features roast malt, dark fruit, caramel and woody tones, tasty but not heavy. Mouthfeel delivers decent body and peppy fizz. No wonder monks are jolly!
