We brewed this beer as dark and rich as David Joy’s second novel, and like any good mystery, we’ve added a surprise ending. With a slice of pecan pie finishing the full bodied, oak aged imperial stout, be prepared for a wild ride into the dark side. Nothing goes better with books than beer, so grab a copy of The Weight of This World and enjoy! It’s roasty and smooth, and packs a punch. The beer is good, too.

Pours coffee brown with a thick and fairly persistent cinnamon head. Aroma delivers roast malt, molasses, coffee, wood- and sweet pecan pie. Flavor delights with roast malt, smoky wood, pecan, molasses tones and earthy and honey hints. Mouthfeel offers viscous, heavy body but not much fizz. This is a beer to be sipped and savored - and slowly lest it sneak up on ya.
