Närkes första lager öl som är en dubbelbock med inslag av gotländsk rökmalt! – Jag har länge velat brygga en dubbelbock, säger HG Wiktorsson, bryggare på Närke Kulturbryggeri. Men experimentlustan blev för stor så det blev närmast en hybridöl, med inslag av tysk bockölstradition, gotländsk ”dricku” och man tager vad man haver á la Cajsa Warg. Från bockölen har jag hämtat styrkan ABV 7,5 %, från gotlandsdrickan rökmalt och enris samt det som fanns och fick åka med på slutet var nakenhavre och Julitahumle.

    On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Deep orange to red colour, low head. Strong aroma of peat smoke and juniper smoke. The flavour is dominated by peat smoke and juniper smoke throughout. One-dimensional, not my cup of tea.

    Pours out in a hazy reddish amber colour with a rich white foam. Rich aroma of smoke, juniper, seaweed and licorice with hints of honey and cookies. Medium-bodied with notes of juniper, smoke, tar, rye, honey and licorice, hints of cookies, herbs and and crystallized sugar. Firm body. Long finish of juniper, smoke and salt. Tasty and unique.
