101 | Pizza Port Cuvee de Tomme | United States | Belgian Strong Ale | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 The aroma is cherries, raisins, and alcohol. The flavor is very sour and sweet at the same time with a lambic like quality to the flavor. A doughy presence with some white grapes, raisins, cherries, and slight whiskey background. I loved the stuff. |

102 | Beatrix | Netherlands | Belgian Strong Ale | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 This was a pleasent suprise to see at the Noog Fest. This was a very LATE rating. Per my notes "A dark orange appearance with a champagne and M&M flavor. Caramel stickyness. It tasted like a spritzer almost. Orange soda and funky things" Hmmm you know what I don’t think Im going to rate anything else off of this particular sheet. Good stuff! |

103 | Dieu du Ciel! Péché Mortel (Mortal Sin) | Canada | Imperial Stout | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 This beer had a nice pitch black appearance with a tan head. Do you like Espresso? If you say yes you are set. If not you may be looking for something else. A very bitter chocolate and coffee/espresso taste. You need not seek complexity here just a coffee house. Is this beer overrated? Oh yes. But is it good? Yes also. Starbucks beer style homies. |

104 | Great Lakes Barrel Aged Blackout Stout | United States | Imperial Stout | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 A solid black appearance with almost no head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, licorice, and burbon. The flavor is somewhat dry and is overrun by the whiskey and coffee flavors. Some chocolate is detectable though. This was good and usually I prefer the barrel aged version, however I think I like the regular Blackout Stout better. |

112 | Oskar Blues Ten FIDY | United States | Imperial Stout | 4.3
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 On Tap at KP’s. A black apperance with a dark tan head. A chocolate filled aroma with some coffee and raisins present. This reminded me a little of Expedition although not AS good. A sweet chocolate and licorice flavor was present. A very creamy finish. This would kick ass with some desert but went ok with the spicy guacamole. A nice impy stout. |

117 | Founders Blushing Monk | United States | Fruit Beer | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 This poured a reddish pink color with a large pinkish white head. Quitting laughing you pervs! The aroma contains raspberries and some hints of apple. The flavor contains some raspberries and sour apples. The 12.3% does not show at all in this beer. The mouthfeel was very carbonated. Decatursteveo called this a "date rape beer" Well anyways.....a great one in the league of the New Glarus fruit beers. |

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 This is one of the best porters out there. Appearance is dark with a good beige head. Flavor is chocolate/coffee and very malty. 119 | Rodenbach Grand Cru | Belgium | Flanders Red | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8 Pours a reddish/brown. Taste is mainly of sour cherries. This is one interesting beer unlike any other Ive had to date. Palate is slighty bitter and very sour. Certainly not one recommended in mass quanities, but sipping on a few of these would make for excellent night of drinking! |

121 | Avery Hog Heaven | United States | American Barleywine | 4.3
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8 The aroma is very very nice. Some oak, citrus, cherries, grapes, vanilla. The appearance is a reddish brown with almost no head. Now to the flavor. A mix of bitter, sour, and sweet all perfectly blended together. Some caramel, raspberries, citrus fruit are primarly what I am tasting. The finish is hoppy with a taste of alcohol. This one is not as sweet and cloying as other barleywines Ive tasted. This biased may come from my hophead nature of course. But overall I must say I really enjoyed this one. |

123 | North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout | United States | Imperial Stout | 4.3
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8 Welcome to another episode of Happy Hour. Today we are going to drink Old Rasp. Never had of these before. I did just drink a Sam Smith Impy Stout and it was delicious so I thought what the heck. I pulled out the Old Raspy Lets get this open. Ok....Kind of a neat cap. Got the old frosty pint. Wow thats dark. Hmmm.......Little bit of a head on that brown, brown, pretty foamy head. Hmmm.....Kind of a not so sweet malty kind of a smell. That's so dark I can't even see anything through that. Mmmmm nice smell to it. Kind of a not sure. Let's see what it tastes like. Wooooo! Wow! You cant definitley test the alcohol in that one. Wow! I don't know what to think about that. Let's check the bottle. We got a ABV of 9% from North Coast Brewing in Ft Bragg, CA and brewed in the style of Impy Stout. It has Russian writing on it. This beer is a left hook to my mouth. BURP. Woooo very carbonated. Strong flavor. Carbonated yet smooth feel to it. A smooth feel on the tongue. Strong! That is strong, something you know you would have with a dinner a steak dinner or a Russian style dinner. It's not so much a left hook to my mouth anymore my mouth is warming up to it. It's got some flavors I'm not familiar with going on. I guess that's a hoppy on the end. Or malty not sure. It tastes kind of like, let me try again, that's a roasted malty flavor right from the get go until the end. Strong roasty malt. That is DARK! You can't even see any light through the edges giving it a caramel color. That is used motor oil dark. BURP! I wasn't sure if I could drink the whole thing. It's not as bad as I though it was going to be. Now the Sam Smiths Impy Stout that I had earlier that was just unbelieavable I'm glad I tried it. It's definitley going to be drink all. Not that's its bad ya know I just, it's not really for me. It's a little on the strong side flavor wise might be the alcohol. You can taste it compared to other Russian Impy Stouts. As far as just a beer review of good or not, I'm gonna say this is a good beer. Uhhh I bad beer for me would be something I pour down the sink. This won't go down the sink. I'm glad I tried it though. If you've never had an Russian Impy stout get one! It's good it's just strong and I'm not too big on STRONG beers but I tried it, it was good. I recommend getting one. There ya have it! |
