Bottle, as Hof Korvatunturi Old Ale, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Cloudy orange colour, low head. Strange aroma, some Belgian yeast, hard to classify. Fairly sweet flavour, some fruit, hints of tobacco, some mint and tea.

330 ml green bottle, now available in Norway. Sold in brown bottles for the Czech home market. Golden colour, good to moderate head, little lacing. 1795 is another "budweiser" from the town of Budejovice / Budweis (= another Bohemian pilsener, for anyone else but Czech appellation fanatics) with a pleasant Saaz aroma, elements of flowers and grass. Flavour is clean tasting, smooth and soft with moderate but pleasant hops. Just a faint hint of "boiledness" in the background, but not enough to make it disturbing. A nice quaffing pils, not an orgasmic experience but certainly easy drinking.

330 ml bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Moderately hazy reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and over-ripe red berries, hints of mild spices. Medium sweet and malty flavour with the same elements, also distinct bittering hops in the finish.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.9%. Pale golden colour, a slight haziness, large white head. Aroma of sweetish pilsener malts, Belgian ale yeast, and floral and fruity hops, notes of plums. Flavour with the same elements, also distinct spicy notes, both from the yeast and the bittering hops.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.7%. Hazy brownish-golden colour, large to moderate white head. Yeasty and vinous aroma, hints of redcurrants. Fresh and vinous flavour, notes of spicy saison yeast, again hints of redcurrants, followed by distinct bittering hops. Quite good.

750 ml bottle, as 3 Fonteinen Aardbei Oogst 2021 (season 21|22) Blend No. 77. Purchased at Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, at an outrageous price. ABV is 6.5%. Hazy orange colour, moderate and shortlived white head. Distinct aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse / barnyard, strawberries and oak. Sour flavour of brettanomyces, strawberries, lemons and oak. A hint of solvent in the aftertaste. Not worth the high price.

Shared bottle, RBNAG 2011 in Oslo. Again: hard to distinguish from the Lente and Zomer (which we had just minutes before), but Herfst is even more sour and lemony than Zomer, in both aroma and flavour.

Bottle, RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Red colour, hazy. Strong aroma of ripe raspberries and farmhouse. Very sour flavour (vinegar), distinct notes of raspberries.

Rerate, 375 ml "champagne" bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6%. Unfiltered, bottled 10/03/2008. Pours very fizzy. Cloudy yellow colour, big white head. Lovely farmhouse aroma, notes of fermenting fruits and spices. The flavour is very sour and tart with notes of lemons and Bramley apples, hints of spices, some hops in the atertaste. Original rating: Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad, as 3 Fonteinen Beersel Oude Geuze 1999. Golden colour, large head. Funky aroma / mold, horseblanket. Nice sour flavour with oaky and farmhouse notes.

Hazy golden colour, big white head. Lovely aroma of lemons and other sour fruits, with strong notes of farmhouse and horse stable. The flavour is very sour and tart, with lemony notes and a dry and astringent finish with noticeable hops.

Aroma of sour cherries, cherry kernels, farmhouse, oak and a hint of peat. The flavour has sour cherries, lemons and brettanomyces galore, also oak and a hint of peat.

I had this beer French brewed (it IS also a French brew originally, not Vietnamese, even if it's also brewed under licence in Vietnam and most Americans know it in that version). Also brewed at Heineken's brewery in Morocco. It worked well in the summer heat of the French Riviera, but it's really a very average lager, at the best.

Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, also a distinct grapefruity and piney bitterness in the finish.

Aroma of jam of said fruits, also notes of tangerine. Medium sour flavour of gooseberries, prickly pear and tangerine, also lactic acid. Hardly any bitterness. Refreshing and nice to drink.

Warming mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Smooth and medium sweet flavour, distinct notes of bourbon, oak and vanilla, also chocolate / cocoa and smooth coffee.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.8%, IBU 28. Murky brownish-orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple and other tropical fruits, hints of Earl Grey and Orange Pekoe teas. The flavour is moderately sweet, with the same elements as the aroma, and a fairly distinct hop bitterness throughout.
