Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 330 ml can, as Rygr Hòkunàtt Norsk Doppelbock, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Very dark brown to black colour, large beige head. Aroma of roast malts and brown malts, not as roasty as the 4.7% Hòkunàtt Norsk Julebock. Smooth flavour, roast malts and brown malts again (a bit more roasty now), notes of coffee, dark chocolate and caramel, but not overly sweet. Nice to drink. |

The flavour is moderately malty with only a very moderate roastiness, notes of mild coffee again, a hint of caramel, low bitterness. Has very little to brag about. This is a weak porter more than an "extra stout". |

Roasty aroma with notes of mild coffee and dark chocolate, a hint of wood and bonfires, also hints of hops. Very nice roasty flavour, fairly dry, notes of coffee, hints of dark bitter chocolate and wood, decent hops throughout. Not extreme in any way, just well balanced and highly drinkable. |

The flavour is not very sweet, and here the roasty notes of coffee are more distinct. Some hops in the finish. A quite decent stout. |

Moderate hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. A very drinkable stout. |

The flavour is also roasty with notes of coffee, but the mouthfeel is a bit thin. Fairly dry. Some hints of liquorice and dark bitter chocolate, but not really impressive. Rather "dead" finish with a moderate bitterness. |
