2376 Rygr Hòkunàtt Norsk Doppelbock (8%) Norway Doppelbock 3.7

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

330 ml can, as Rygr Hòkunàtt Norsk Doppelbock, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Very dark brown to black colour, large beige head. Aroma of roast malts and brown malts, not as roasty as the 4.7% Hòkunàtt Norsk Julebock. Smooth flavour, roast malts and brown malts again (a bit more roasty now), notes of coffee, dark chocolate and caramel, but not overly sweet. Nice to drink.

Bottle, as Panther Fine Extra Stout, in Bali. ABV is 5%. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Moderate aroma of brown malts more than dark malts, notes of mild coffee and caramel, a hint of dark fruits. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately malty with only a very moderate roastiness, notes of mild coffee again, a hint of caramel, low bitterness. Has very little to brag about.
