1726 | Nørrebro Bryghus Ceske Böhmer | Denmark | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. "Økologisk" / organic. ABV is 5.0%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Typical Czech pilsener aroma of grassy and floral Saaz hops. The flavour has also decent Saaz hops throughout, on a sufficient malty background, with just a faint hint of caramel. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Brewed by Anders Kissmeyer at Lervig Aktiebryggeri, Stavanger. On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of New Zealand hops (Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka?), hints of gooseberries and tropical fruits. Fairly light bodied, like a pilsener should be. Hoppy flavour throughout, fruity notes, not too bitter. An excellent refreshment. |

1730 | Nøgne Ø Pils | Norway | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Served very cold. Hazy golden colour, low head. The aroma has moderate notes of pilsener malts and floral hops. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour has a distinct hoppy bitterness from start to finish. Bitter aftertaste. Not much in the flavour to balance the bitterness - but this is clearly a thirstquenching pilsener, and far better than most of its more industrial competitors. |

1731 | Pausa Café P.I.L.S. | Italy | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.7
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. According to the label, ABV is 4.8%, brewery website says 4.7%. Golden colour, minimal white head. Nice aroma of Saaz hops, floral, fruity and herbal notes. Minimal carbonation in the glass. The flavour is very sweet (too sweet) and sugary for a pilsener, notes of fruits and herbs too, decent hoppy bittterness in the finish. The excessive sweetness and minimal carbonation might be due to a production error, the beer has been retired from Vinmonopolet before it came for sale there. Still drinkable as it is. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 On tap at the Faroe Islands tent at the ONS fair, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate creamy white head. Moderate aroma of floral and grassy hops. The flavour is fairly malty for a pilsener, and the hops are noticeable, if not as plentiful as desired. |

1734 | Carlsberg Pivo | Denmark | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Bottle, bought in Denmark. Golden pils, moderate head. Good Saaz aroma. Light bodied, but decent bitterness in the aftertaste. An ABV of 5% would be more appropriate. The Czechs do it better, but all in all this is not a bad try of Carlsberg. A beer for the summer days. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, from NETTO, Denmark. ABV is 5.0%. Golden colour, large white head. Fresh aroma of grassy and piney hops, a hint of peaches. Excellent hoppy flavour, piney notes, just a hint of peaches. The bitterness seems just right. Possibly the best Danish pilsener I’ve had so far, way above the macros. |

1737 | Herslev Bryghus Pilsner | Denmark | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. Brew #421. ABV is 5.5%. Some sediment in the bottle. Extremely pale yellow colour, slightly hazy, huge white head. Sweetish aroma of malt sugar and grassy hops. Despite some malty sweetness in the flavour, there are enough hops to make the beer feel fairly crisp. Very bitter finish and aftertaste. |

1738 | Theresianer Premium Pils | Italy | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Pale golden colour, large white head of good retention. Decent aroma of grassy and floral Saazer hops, with a hint of honey. The flavour has also nice presence of Saaz, but there is also a pleasant malty sweetness. Overall is this a fairly well balanced pilsener, above average for the style, and very refreshing when cold. |

1742 | Oettinger Pils | Germany | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, bought in Spain. ABV is 4.7%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, notes of candy, some floral and grassy notes too. The flavour is too sweet for a German pils, some artificial "candy" notes, but the beer is still drinkable. A little bitterness in the finish. Not something I’ll buy again, though. |

1743 | Bakaláø Svetlý Lezák 12° (Premium) | Czech Republic | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 500 ml brown bottle, a gift from gunnar, thanks. ABV is 5%. BB date 30.12.10. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Strange aroma of cooked vegetables, decaying fruit, malts and dust. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour has much the same elements as the aroma, dry and dusty, pretty weird - but some fresh hops in the finish make the drinking experience more tolerable. |

Fairly nice aroma of floral and herbal Czech and German hops. The flavour is definitely on the hoppy side side, but there is also enough malty sweetness to back it up. Herbal character, some honeyish notes too. Good bitterness in the finish, but not too much. Clearly a pils well above average. |
