1551 | Dancing Duck Ay Up / Ey Up | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 2.5
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Cask (hand pump) at the Darlington Spring Thing Beer Festival. ABV is 3.9%. Pale golden colour, low head. The aroma is moderate with some citrus. "Dusty" and unpleasant flavour, a little citrussy hop is not enough to save this beer. Fail. |

1556 | Badger England's Gold | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 4.6%. Golden colour, big to moderate white head. Nice aroma of floral and fruity hops, "dusty" malts in the background. The flavour is fruity, on a background of fairly sweet pale malts, ending in a very moderate bitterness. Like other Badger bottled beers: refreshing and drinkable, but does not blow your socks off. |

1557 | Holbæk Fjord Beer | Denmark | Blonde Ale | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 500 ml bottle, thanks to Tom. ABV is 3.5%. Pale golden colour, big to moderate white head. Smells like an industrial pale lager, some grassy hops, hints of honey, metallic notes. The flavour is somewhat better than the aroma, light bodied of course, but there are fairly decent hops thoughout. Bitter and slightly metallic aftertaste. |

Moderate aroma, hints of citrus and elderflower. The flavour is fresh and zesty with notes of citrussy hops, also hints of tropical fruits, but the beer is not sweet. Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, as Storm Golden Ale, in Bali. ABV is 5%. Golden colour, slightly hazy, moderate white head. Aroma initially of cooked vegetables, then some nicer notes of tropical fruits come through. The flavour has moderate notes of Styrian Goldings hops, but not nearly as distinct as in the Pale Ale. Slightly yeasty finish. Like the other beers from this brewery it has a fizzy mouthfeel. Clearly drinkable, but not exciting. |

1570 | Moosehead Pale Ale | Canada | Blonde Ale | 2.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 341 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 5%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, large white head. Boring aroma, like an industrial pale lager: a little "dusty" malts, boiled vegetables and a weak hint of grassy hop. The flavour is much like a "premium" industrial lager, with some fruity and malty notes, and very modest hops in the finish. Not undrinkable, but pretty far from anything a decent brewery with some self respect would call a "pale ale". |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 Sample on tap at Gladmatfestivalen 2011. Golden colour, moderate white head. Very fruity aroma, notes of green apples. The flavour has loads of green apples and little else, and is not good at all. The beer has apparently been fermented at a too high temperature. |
