Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8 Cask (return system) at The Abbotsford, Edinburgh. Pale golden colour, low head. Very nice aroma of fruity hops (citrus, tropical fruits). The flavour is very refreshing with zesty and fruity hops throughout, but is not too bitter. The mouthfeel is maybe a bit thin. A nice beer though. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 750 ml bottle, unlabeled, many thanks to yngwie! Orange to amber colour, huge off-white head. Lovely hoppy aroma (Styrian Goldings), notes of spices, hints of oak. The flavour is fairly sweet and fruity with notes of oranges, apricot, brown sugar and spices (notably coriander). Some bitterness in the finish. Good beer! |

1485 | Coopers Sparkling Ale | Australia | Blonde Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 375 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Bottle conditioned, sediment in bottle. In the first pour the beer is crystal clear golden, hazy in the final pour. Sparkling indeed, but when the initial huge head subsides a little, the carbonation in the glass is not too bad. Fruity aroma with notes of spices. The flavour is also fruity and moderately spicy. Alcohol is noticeable but not disturbing, the beer is fairly light bodied and easy drinking. |

1486 | Kelham Island Pale Rider | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 4.0
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. BB date Oct. 08. ABV is 5.2%. When opening, the beer started gushing out of the bottle. Deep golden to amber colour, slightly hazy, big white head. Nice hoppy aroma, citrus and floral notes, a hint of toffee. The flavour is distinctly hoppy and grapefruity throughout, but never too bitter. The hoppy fruitiness also has a sufficient malty base, and my bottle had a hint of brettanomyces. Long aftertaste of hoppy bitterness. Good stuff! |

1488 | Dorset Chesil | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Labeled a "Tradtional Pilsner". ABV is 4.1%. Brewed with lager malt and Caragold malt. The hops are Sovereign and Lubelski. Golden colour, decent white head. Very nice and strong aroma of honey, flowers and butterscotch. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, but there is also a substantial malty sweetness. Bitter finish and aftertaste. Has the character of a well-made pilsener, but is apparently top fermented? |

1498 | Amager Amager Fælled | Denmark | Blonde Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, batch #747, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Slightly hazy golden colour, low white head. Strong sweetish aroma of new-mown grass, flowers and honey. Refreshing flavour, not too sweet, with moderate floral (elderflowers) and citrussy notes, subtle hops, hints of honey, low bitterness. I know this is not intended to be a very hoppy beer, but a little more bittering hops would not hurt. |

1499 | Baladin Nazionale | Italy | Blonde Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, huge white head. Very yeasty and very spicy aroma, strong notes of coriander and cloves. Very dry flavour, very yeasty and very spicy again. As I am not Italian, Teo Musso & Co. will have to forgive me for not being emotional about all ingredients being Italian home grown. A drinkable beer of course, just not Baladin’s best. |
