5077 | Dog In The Fog | Poland | Lager | 2.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 500 ml can, bought in Poland. Golden colour, large white head. Flowery sweet aroma, candy notes too. Flavour is unusually sweet for a pale lager, sugary and artificial candy notes. Hardly any bitterness. Barely escaped being poured down the drain. |

5078 | Vedett | Belgium | Lager | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Rerate bottle, bought at Vinmonopolet: With a brisk pour you get a very large and lasting head, and the carbonation is not too much after all. Fairly decent hops place this pils in the "slightly above average" category. I’m upping it 1 point. Original rating: 330 ml bottle, as Vedett Extra Blond, ABV is 5.2%. Courtesy of Cardinal, Stavanger. Also available in Norway in Vinmonopolet stores (bestillingsutvalget). The beer’s website is www.vedett.com . Served in Duvel glass (same brewery). Very pale colour, decent head. Moderately hoppy aroma, notes of cardboard and "dusty attic". Flavour is moderately hoppy - this is an average pils. A bit too carbonated for my taste. |

5081 | Beck's | Germany | Lager | 2.7
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 A commercial but refreshing pilsener - nothing wrong, nothing special. Rerate: Had my first can today (bottles and draught previously). Extremely light coloured, possibly watered down version for Norway? (ABV 4,7%) The one I had on tap in Holland a month ago was very light coloured too. Am I right that the colour was slightly darker a few years ago?? Anyway, it's still a drinkable pils, but not an aroma or flavour that will linger in your memory. |

5082 | Singha | Thailand | Lager | 1.8
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 Another beer I bought just to get one more country rated! Pleasant aroma when you open the bottle, hardly any aroma in the glass. Very light colour. Flavour is not unpleasant, actually there is hardly any flavour at all. Aftertaste? What aftertaste? (Well, I had this beer with a fairly spicy pizza, but still...) With 6% alcohol and little or no taste, it's probably an OK beer if your intention is to get pissed as fast as possible in the Thailand heat. Down there I guess it will cost you something like 20 cents a bottle - buying it anywhere else is ridiculous. |

5083 | Asahi Super Dry | Japan | Lager | 3.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 I'll admit that I bought this 'Japanese' beer (brewed 'under supervision' in the Czech Rep.) only to get a higher score on the 'most countries' rating. However I was compelled to drink it tonight (had planned to wait a bit) in order to lose the foul aftertaste of the EKU 28 I had sampled earlier. This beer is definitely contrary to the foul eisbock: It's probably the driest beer I've ever tasted. Refreshing, but not something I'd buy again (ref. Norwegian prices on imported beer), unless I should happen to visit Japan. Rerate: Actually, I DID have it again without visiting Japan: It was a nice accompaniment with a meal in a Japanese garden / restaurant in Denmark. |

5084 | Tinkov Russian Lager (Zolotoe) | Russia | Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 (330 ml clear bottle, bought in Denmark). Golden colour, not entirely clear (cold filtered). A whiff of Heineken-like freshness when you open the bottle, disappears in the glass, where the aroma is weak malty with notes of boiled vegetables and wet cardboard, just a faint hint of catpiss (clear bottle?). Flavour is lightly malty with an unpleasant sweetness, notes of boiled carrots and maize (corn). Low on hops. Little aftertaste. The Russians may keep this beer to themselves, as far as I’m concerned. |

5085 | Efes Pilsener | Turkey | Lager | 1.7
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 (330 ml bottle). Very pale yellow colour, decent head. Sweet fruity aroma. Flavour is, uh, thin... some alcoholic/fusel notes, like Norwegian "hjemmebrent" (="moonshine"). Might be drinkable ice cold at the beach of Antalya. Anywhere else: Avoid! |

5088 | Peroni Premium Lager | Italy | Lager | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Pale golden colour, light bodied, an average / run of the mill lager in every sense. Nothing offensive about it, but Peroni Nastro Azzurro is better. It's so average it could be named "Neville Chamberlain" without bringing shame to the name. |

5091 | Hancock Hoker Bajer | Denmark | Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 Sampled in Denmark. Golden colour. Artificial candy aroma, not very pleasant. OKish standard lager flavour when cold, acceptable aftertaste. Far from great, though. This is not a beer to search out, the stronger "Hancock Beer" or their two Gambrinus beers are a better choice. |

5094 | Oppigårds Slåtteröl | Sweden | Lager | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Correct spelling is Oppigårds Slåtteröl. RBESG 2006, bottle. Clear golden colour. Nice hoppy aroma, flowery and herbal, some vinous notes too. Flavour is reasonably hoppy. I drank it a bit too warm, must be nice and refreshing when colder. |

5097 | Krusovice Jubilejni Ležák Extra Horký | Czech Republic | Lager | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, my wife bought this one for me in Prague. Golden colour, large and lasting head, looks slightly off-white. Moderate carbonation, which I like. Aroma is somewhat sweetish, with grassy and flowery aromatic hops. Nice hoppy bitterness in the flavour and aftertaste, but EXTRA bitter? Not more than you expect from a decent Czech golden lager. Still a lager well above average, as far as lagers go. |

5098 | CB Jubileumsøl | Norway | Lager | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Dark golden coloured and moderately carbonated, this Norwegian lager relies heavily on the caramel malts used. The flavour is distinctly sweet, but quite well balanced with the hops. Lager lovers with a 'sweet tooth' will find it attractive, the rest of you will at the best see it as an acceptable 'change of pace' beer. |

5100 | Ringnes 1877 Jubileumsøl | Norway | Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 Dark golden colour, moderate to low carbonation, head disappears instantly, aroma of caramel and oak. Malty flavour with caramel and fairly bitter hops that linger in the aftertaste. The Ringnes brewery group's "Tou Blå" ( which was distributed in South-West Norway only) was a better alternative in the same style. |
