330 ml bottle, from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. ABV is 6.8%, theoretical IBU 115. Deep golden to amber colour, huge off-white head. Moderate but nice aroma of Warrior hops, fruity and piney notes. The flavour has first some malty sweetness, then an excessive hoppy bitterness takes over. 115 IBU is not a good way to acquainting people with the qualities of any single hop - the bitterness becomes too dominant, masking other aspects of the hop’s flavour profile. Mikkeller’s previous Single Hop Warrior IPA was much better.

330 ml, from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. ABV is 6.8%, theoretical IBU 103. Deep golden to amber colour, slightly hazy. Huge off-white head. Lovely aroma of Bravo hops, strong fruity notes, hints of pine. The flavour has a distinct hoppy bitterness, but also fruity and piney notes come through. I still think we would get a better overall impression of this fairly new hop variety, if the IBUs were kept a little lower in this beer. The long aftertaste is quite bitter and sharp. My interest is sufficiently triggered to try Bravo hops in homebrew.

Pleasant aroma of Citra hops, with the expected notes of citrus, also notes of mixed tropical fruits. The flavour has some initial caramel sweetness, then the Citra hops take over. Citrus notes of course, but also resin and a distinct bitterness. Good, but I think the subtleties of this fine hop variety would come through even better with a slightly more moderate IBU.

Pleasant aroma of Centennial hops, notes of oranges and pine. The flavour is distinctly hoppy from start to finish, with notes of spruce, pine and grapefruit. Some moderately sweet malts in the background. Bitter and rather sharp aftertaste.

500 ml bottle, from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. ABV is 7.2%. Deep golden to orange colour. Large and lasting white head. Very nice aroma of fruity and piney American hops. The flavour is also dominated by American hops, notes of spruce and pine, a hint of oranges, on a moderately sweet background. Light bodied for its strength. Bitter and sharp finish.

Shared bottle from the brewery. ABV was 6.4%. Gusher bottle, extremely cloudy yellow beer, low head. Intense aroma of catpiss and spruce. Flavour of "spruce" hops. Not at all what I expected from Citra and Nelson Sauvin.

Lovely aroma of fruity and "spruce / pine" American hops, notes of tropical fruits, hints of catpiss. Very nice hoppy flavour, tropical fruits, pine and spruce. Relatively light bodied.

Very enjoyable.

The flavour is distinctly hoppy from start to finish, with a fairly sharp bitterness. Maybe not very complex, but a decent enough "American" IPA.

Sweetish aroma of crystal malts and American hops, notes of orange marmalade. The flavour has American hops on a fairly sweet malty base, the IPA bitterness is there, but not extreme. Hints of bitter orange marmalade. Okay.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, as Nøgne Ø Double Hop IPA. ABV 6.5%, 60 IBU. Hazy orange to amber colour, large off-white head. Nice aroma of citrussy and piney American hops. The flavour is distinctly hoppy with piney and grapefruity notes, but not extreme. Moderate malts in the background, not too sweet. Very good.

At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy deep golden colour. Strong and pleasant aroma of American hops (Warrior, Simcoe and Centennial), fruity and piney notes. The flavour is also dominated by said fruity hops, but is not too extreme. Noticeable malts with a little caramel balance the flavour nicely. Very good!

Hazy golden colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma of fruity (tropical fruits incl. passion fruit), floral and grassy hops. Light bodied and refreshing. The flavour is a hoppy explosion from start to finish, with fruity (esp. grapefruity) notes. Very bitter (too bitter?) aftertaste, nearly medicinal.

Rerate, 500 ml bottle shared with OleR at Olympen, Oslo. ABV was 6.5%. Bottle conditioned, unfiltered and unpasteurised. Cloudy orange-brown colour, murky brown when the sediment is poured in. Moderate off-white head. Aroma of fruity, floral and piney American hops. Distinct hoppy flavour, piney, resinous and fruity, not too sharp. Quite decent. Original rating: At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Amber colour. Moderate aroma of American hops. Medium sweet flavour with distinct notes of American hops, becoming rather sharp in the finish. A fairly decent IPA.

330 ml bottle, batch 01.01, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 6.6%. Malts are pilsener, pale and münchener (+ flaked oats), hops are Tomahawk for bittering and Tettnanger for aroma. Hazy golden colour, huge white head. Herbal and slightly spicy aroma, soon overtaken by less pleasant strong notes of stale orange marmalade. Lagerish mouthfeel. The flavour is initially refreshing, but is soon dominated by notes of stale orange marmalade again. Moderately bitter finish. Mikkeller’s least successful beer so far? Drinkable of course - but hey, this is Mikkeller, I expect something better than this!

Very nice sweetish and fruity aroma, notes of American hops and pale crystal malts, hints of fresh orange marmalade. The flavour has a nice hoppiness throughout, but is unfortunately a bit too sweet for my taste. Bitter finish. Well worth sampling.

The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, grapefruit, pine and spruce again, very bitter and nearly medicinal aftertaste.
