June 2020: 500 ml can, from Bunnpris Sauda. ABV is 4.5%. Low carb, gluten free. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Very moderate aroma, hints of citrus and herbal hops. Slightly citric mouthfeel, light bodied as expected. The flavour is fairly dry, with distinct herbal hops, moderately bitter.

Aroma of fruity hops, notes of citrus, pineapple and mango. Citric and thin mouthfeel. Medium dry flavour of citrus, hints of tropical fruits, tolerable bitterness. An okay summer refreshment, but the stronger version of Ink & Dagger is a better choice.

Aroma of fruity / citric and piney American hops, also some yeasty notes. Citric / grapefruity flavour, also notes of pine needles and resin, with a distinct bitterness in the finish, becomes nearly medicinal in the aftertaste. Some yeasty notes too.

The flavour has again notes of citrus and tropical fruits, but also notes of pine needles and a distinct bitterness in the finish.

Pleasant aroma of citrus, melon, mango, papaya and guava. Nice flavour with notes of said fruits, also a pleasant hop burn, and a moderate bitterness in the finish.

500 ml can, as BrewDog Wingman Session IPA - The Eagle Has Landed, from Helgø Meny Stokka. ABV is 4.3%. Nearly clear and very pale straw colour, moderate to small white head. Nice aroma of citric hops. Light bodied as expected, smooth mouthfeel. Moderate citric hops in the flavour too, not much of a malty backbone though. An acceptable summer refreshment, no more, no less.

Citric flavour (bitter oranges, lemon and grapefruit), not too sweet despite the crystal malts. A good and resinous hop bitterness throughout, becomes quite sharp in the aftertaste.

Citric flavour, malts and yellow plums in the background, hints of kveik and resin, moderate bitterness. Fairly nice beer.

The flavour is quite malty, but also very bitter, with piney / resinous notes, also notes of bitter Seville oranges and grapefruit.

Fikk tatt en bitteliten smaksprøve av denne i dag, men det var nok til å fastslå at dette er et veldig godt øl! Deilig aroma av frisk appelsin, samt innslag av de fruktene som bryggeriet nevner ovenfor. Disse fruktene går igjen i smaken (de skyldes altså humletilsetningen, og ikke noen frukttilsetning!), men du får likevel en klar forståelse av at dette er et øl, og ikke et glass med fruktjuice. Humlebitterheten er moderat, men merkbar. Nam nam! Sampled again from tap at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. I really like this one. The best in the Hop Tweak series from HaandBryggeriet so far?

March 2021: 500 ml bottle, from Bier Huis, Ossett. ABV is 5.0%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of malts and toffee, hints of caramel and earthy hops. The flavour is first malty but not very sweet, followed by fruity and earthy hops, with a rather sharp piney /resinous bitterness in the aftertaste.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, thanks to Holmen2. ABV is 6.0%. Clear deep golden to orange colour, moderate to low white head. Nice and "typically English" aroma, toffee, caramel and sourish hops. Much the same elements in the flavour too, but less nice - seems a bit unbalanced. Drinkable, but far from the best IPA I’ve had.
