Strong and pleasant aroma of tangerine and fruity hops. Fairly sweet flavour with fruity / citrussy notes, also hints of pine needles.

Keg halfpint at Fealty’s Bar, Bangor. ABV 4.7%. Deep golden colour, white head. The aroma has moderate malts and decent citrussy hops. The flavour is fairly dry, with distinct citrussy and piney hops, also some dark berries and sufficient malts in the background. Refreshing and good.

Rerate, 355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.9%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Attractive aroma of tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Well hopped flavour, but not overdone. Notes of citrus and other fruits make the beer very drinkable, the moderate piney bitterness seems just right for a session. Original rating: RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at the BrewDog bar. Golden colour. Well hopped aroma and flavour, notes of tropical fruits and citrus, some pine. Easy drinking - a fine "session" IPA that could easily become a regular of mine.

500 ml bottle, as Ugelris IPA 10 Års Jubileumsøl, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 6.7%. Initially clear golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of herbal and spicy hops, a hint of pine. The flavour has fairly bitter herbal hops, some malty sweetness, little fruitiness.

330 ml can, unfiltered and unpasteurised, as The White Hag Atlantean New England IPA. ABV is 5.4%. Pale yellow colour, only slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Nice aroma of tropical fruits, pine and spruce. Light bodied. The flavour has some citrus and tropical fruits with a slight sweetness, followed by pine / resin and spruce tips. Not bad, but does not really stand out from the crowd.

Intense aroma of fruity hops, but not citric / tropical, more of dark fruits and berries, also distinct sprucetips and pine needles. Yeasty notes too. The flavour is not very sweet, but has some hints of orange marmalade, also sprucetips and pine needles. Moderate bitterness, fairly well balanced.

The aroma has notes of fruity kveik and fruity hops, hints of citrus, yellow stonefruits, pineapple, lychee and guava. Fruity flavour too, not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. Moderate to low bitterness.

Keg halfpint, as McGargles Big Bangin’ IPA, at The Long Stone, Dublin. ABV 7.1%. Golden colour, white head. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity notes. Nice but distinct hoppy flavour, fruity, not too sweet, not too dry, good bitterness, easy drinking for its strength.

Aroma of grain, dust, marmalade and broth. Flavour of citrus, orange marmalade, grapefruit, pine, still with unwanted hints of broth. Medium bitter. The flavour is, after all, better than the aroma, but this is not a beer I'll buy again.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of earthy English hops blended with citric Styrian Goldings and American hops. Relatively light bodied. The flavour is medium dry and decidedly citric, on a background of earthy bittering hops. Enjoyable.

330 ml can, from the brewery . ABV is 8.0%. The black can was hard to open. The opaque yellow-ish beer has a huge white head. Lovely aroma of various tropical fruits, hints of spruce. Sweet flavour with notes of tropical fruits, some citrus too, with a moderate resinous bitterness in the finish. A bit too far out on the sweet side, otherwise a good beer.

The flavour is woody / piney / resinous and quite dry. I don't get the typical characteristics of Sorachi Ace here. Not a beer I'll buy again.
