New comments (I am keeping the original numerical rating), cask halfpint at The Grill, Aberdeen. Deep golden to copper colour, white head. Aroma of citrussy hops. Flavour of lemon peel and bittering hops, the malts are rather dull. Original rating: Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, thanks to Holmen2. ABV is 4.6%. Clear orange colour, moderate white had. Nice aroma of fruity American hops, piney hints too. Hoppy flavour, medium dry, nice enough, but not as much depth as desirable. Still decent enough to buy again.

440 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%, IBU 10. Hops are Csacade, Citra and Mosaic. Cloudy reddish brown colour, surprisingly dark for something called a "golden ale". Moderate white head. Aroma of citrussy hops, also notes of spruce. Citric mouthfeel and flavour. Resinous hops in the finish, but the bitterness is moderate.

500 ml bottle, batch 589, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Cloudy pale golden colour, large white head. Intense aroma of Citra hops, citrus and tropical fruits galore, some catty hints too. Very hoppy flavour on a slightly sweet background, notes of grapefruit and resin, hints of tropical fruits, medium bitter finish. Maybe not perfectly balanced, but a decent beer all the same.

The flavour has a slight sweetness, again with hoppy notes of pine needles, citrus and tropical fruits. Moderate bittering hops.

The flavour is medium sweet with spices / pepper, citrus and herbal and earthy bittering hops. The alcohol is noticeable.

Distinct sweetish aroma of fruity and spicy hops, notes of mandarin / tangerine, pineapple and lychee. Soft and citric mouthfeel, moderate carbonation Citric flavour (various citrus fruits), not too sweet, hints of pineapple and spicy hops, some pine needles in the finish, moderate to low bitterness.

Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Medium sweet flavour of lactose and citric hops, low bitterness. Simple, but still nice to drink.

440 ml can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of citric hops, also hints of tropical fruits and sprucetips. Fairly light bodied, but not bad at all for a 4.7% beer. The flavour is not too sweet, and has the same elements as the aroma, with a moderate but well balanced bitterness. Enjoyable, may well buy again.

Very nice aroma of fresh American hops, notes of tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Hoppy flavour throughout, fruit and pine / resin again, but never too bitter. Some malty sweetness. A well crafted beer, should be palatable for any beer enthusiast.

Shared 650 ml bottle, as Rogue Farms OREgasmic Ale, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 6.0%. 90 IBU. Hazy orange to brown colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate hoppy aroma. Distinctly hoppy and bitter flavour, moderate malts in the background. Grapefruity and resinous notes, some earthy notes too. Very bitter aftertaste.

Light bodied as expected. Refreshing flavour, mostly citrus, hints of pineapple, moderate piney / resinous hops in the finish and aftertaste.

Dry flavour with loads of lemongrass, white pepper finish. No doubt good with Asian food, but also decent on its own as a refreshment. Will buy again.

Lovely and fairly complex aroma of hops - notes of grapefruit, tropical fruits, pine and spruce - some mild spicy notes too. Very hoppy flavour throughout, with the same elements as the aroma, and a sharpish bitter finish. The mouthfeel is better than I feared for a 4.5% beer. This is a beer I expect will sell well.
