The flavour is fairly dry and fruity, with sufficient malts, and a moderate grapefruity and resinous bitterness in the finish. Refreshing and decent enough, easy drinking.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Hazy deep golden to orange colour, low white head. Lovely and intense aroma of tropical fruits, also some citrus. The flavour is mid between sweet and dry, tropical fruits and citrus again, pine needles and resin in the medium bitter finish.

355 ml can, as Ballast Point Grunion IPA, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 5.5%. Slightly gushing can. Slightly hazy orange colour, large white head. The aroma has distinct notes of pine, also notes of grapefruit. Pine / resin and grapefruit in the flavour too, a sharp bitterness in the finish. A slight sweetness of crystal malts.

Strong and pleasant sweetish aroma of malts and oranges / orange marmalade, honey, fruity hops and hints of caramel. The flavour is medium sweet and malty, notes of caramel and oranges, and a firm hoppy bitterness in the finish. Some resin in the aftertaste. Very good.

440 ml can, from Bier Huis, Ossett. Nearly clear golden colour, large white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Citric mouthfeel. Citrus and pine / resin in the flavour too. Not bad, but one in a baker's dozen.

355 ml bottle, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. ABV is 4.9% according to front label, according to rear label (from German importer BraufaktuM) it is 4.6%. BB date 30.07.2013. Malts are Pilsener, Pale (Maris Otter), Münchener, Caramel. Hops are Fuggle, Cascade, Centennial, Chinook. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of caramel, orange marmalade and American hops, also some herbal notes. Smooth mouthfeel and flavour, moderate carbonation. Not too sweet, a little caramel, herbal hops but not very bitter. Not bad at all despite BB date, but will sample again when I get a fresher bottle, might be even better fresh.

New comments (I am keeping the original numerical rating), cask halfpint at The Grill, Aberdeen. Deep golden to copper colour, white head. Aroma of citrussy hops. Flavour of lemon peel and bittering hops, the malts are rather dull. Original rating: Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, thanks to Holmen2. ABV is 4.6%. Clear orange colour, moderate white had. Nice aroma of fruity American hops, piney hints too. Hoppy flavour, medium dry, nice enough, but not as much depth as desirable. Still decent enough to buy again.

Moderate white head. Aroma of citrussy hops, also notes of spruce. Citric mouthfeel and flavour. Resinous hops in the finish, but the bitterness is moderate.

Intense aroma of Citra hops, citrus and tropical fruits galore, some catty hints too. Very hoppy flavour on a slightly sweet background, notes of grapefruit and resin, hints of tropical fruits, medium bitter finish. Maybe not perfectly balanced, but a decent beer all the same.

Soft and citric mouthfeel, moderate carbonation Citric flavour (various citrus fruits), not too sweet, hints of pineapple and spicy hops, some pine needles in the finish, moderate to low bitterness.

Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Medium sweet flavour of lactose and citric hops, low bitterness. Simple, but still nice to drink.

440 ml can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of citric hops, also hints of tropical fruits and sprucetips. Fairly light bodied, but not bad at all for a 4.7% beer. The flavour is not too sweet, and has the same elements as the aroma, with a moderate but well balanced bitterness. Enjoyable, may well buy again.

Very nice aroma of fresh American hops, notes of tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Hoppy flavour throughout, fruit and pine / resin again, but never too bitter. Some malty sweetness. A well crafted beer, should be palatable for any beer enthusiast.
