500 ml bottle, at Blackfriars, Glasgow, as "Grozet Lagered Celtic Ale". ABV is 5.0%. Brewed with crushed gooseberries. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Moderate head. Nice aroma of hops and gooseberries. Lagerish flavour (drank it too cold though), with moderate but decent hops and notes of gooseberries.

Bottle, at RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Very cloudy straw coloured beer. Nice fruity / citrussy and hoppy aroma and flavour, also notes of yeast and oak.

500 ml bottle, bought at Real Foods, Edinburgh (an organic food store, but there’s no mentioning on the label that this beer is organic). ABV is 4.2%. The basis of this beer is Williams Gold, with added tayberries and left to mature for a few weeks. Williams Bros Róisin Tayberry Beer pours with a clear pinkish red colour and a decent pale pink head. Strong aroma of ripe tayberries (which appears to be a crossbreed between raspberry and blackberry, much like boysenberries). The flavour is also dominated by tayberries, but the beer is not very sweet, nor very sour, and there are noticeable hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is a bit thin though. Still a nice change-of-pace beer.

330 ml clear bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Brewed in the EU. ABV is 4.5%. Contains 1.1% lemon juice and 0.3% lime juice. Pale golden colour, large and lasting head. Weak aroma, just a whiff of citrus. Flavour is citrussy sweet, in an artifical way. Not really offensive, but not very good either. No bitterness nor any "real beer" character. Minimal aftertaste. Blindfolded I wouldn’t be sure that this was a beer at all.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%. Murky pink-ish colour, moderate to small off-white head. Aroma of ripe and over-ripe raspberries and guava fruit (no surprise there), feels a bit unfresh. The flavour has notes of artificial candy (but is not overly sweet), also said fruits, again an unfresh feel to it. Noticeable bittering hops, which seem strangely misplaced. Appears unharmonious and pointless.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Sola. ABV is 5%. Murky red to purple colour, moderate to small pink head. Aroma of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and vanilla, also lactic acid. The flavour has notes of said ingredients, but is not very sour, nor very sweet. Slightly tart finish with a little bitterness.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Opaque / murky yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of passionfruit and mango, lime / citrus zest and pineapple. Flavour also of said fruits, and it is not too sweet, nor too sour - a pleasant fruit drink indeed, but there is very little here (besides the alcohol) to remind you that this is a beer.

Small sample from can, at Vectura-messe. Dark red colour. Aroma and flavour of berries with a hint of honey (I admit I had never heard of honey-berries before), and lactic acid. Medium sour, fairly refreshing. Might get a full can later and re-rate.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Opaque yellow to orange colour, moderate head of poor retention. Nice aroma of passionfruit purée. The flavour is moderately lactic sour, with distinct notes of passionfruit. Nice and refreshing, but requires that you like passionfruit.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Hazy "ancient pink" colour, large off-white pinkish head. Aroma of raspberry and cherry candy, hints of vanilla. The flavour is medium sweet and moderately sour, with the same elements as the aroma. A beer for kids who are too young to drink it.

750 ml waxed bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 10.3%. Hazy rosé colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived off-white head. Aroma of red grapes, funk, damp cellar and mould. Flavour of red grapes with tannins, wood, alcohol and noticeable bittering hops.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 4.2%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma and flavour of ripe peaches and peach candy, the flavour has also hints of ripe cantaloupe melons. Simple, but refreshing and not too sweet, drinkable in the spring or summer sun.

September 2015: 330 ml swingtop bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.9%. Brewed with 10% rhubarb juice. BB date 23.11.14. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of rhubarb jam. The flavour is a weird combination between rhubarb acidity, alcohol and IPA bitterness. Not bad, but not a favourite of mine.

500 ml can, from Coop Prestemarka, Tau. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy greyish-brownish-golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of artificial "peach" essence and "peach" candy. Citric mouthfeel. The unpleasant flavour has a little citrus, but first and foremost loads of artificial "peach" essence. Low bitterness. At least the beer is not too sweet, but this is not something I'll buy again. Ever.

April 2021: 500 ml bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Kvadrat. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 40. Nearly clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of lemons, grain and dust, only a hint of tropical fruits. Light bodied. Medium dry flavour with the same elements as the aroma, surprisingly moderate notes of tropical fruits. Fairly bitter finish.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. Thick texture, does indeed look like a Piña Colada smoothie, opaque pale yellow colour. The can must be turned upside-down a few times prior to opening. Aroma of pineapple and coconut. Flavour again of pineapple, coconut and alcohol - in a blind test, I might have been fooled to believe that this was a real Piña Colada longdrink. Not very sour. So if you think you don't like beer, but love a Piña Colada: try this beer! I am so fortunate to like both a variety of beers, AND Piña Coladas - lucky me!

500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.0%. Deep, deep purple colour, moderate to small pink to purple head. Aroma of blueberries, sour cherries and vanilla, hints of almonds and marzipan. The moderately sour flavour has the same fruity notes, and is not too sweet. Very nice and drinkable.

250 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Very dark reddish brown colour, nearly black. Small off-white head. Distinct sweetish aroma of "fruits of the forest", hints of dark malts. Medium sweet flavour of "fruits of the forest", minimal bitterness. Won't buy again.
