750 ml bottle, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 5.0%. Clear pink to red colour, huge off-white head. Aroma of artificial "red fruits" candy. Sweet flavour, artificial "red fruits" galore, some malts and hops in the background. Waste of money.

Jan. 2018: 330 ml red bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Brewed in France for Brasserie de Monaco. ABV is 6%. Clear red colour, moderate pinkish off-white head. Aroma of blackcurrants, raspberries and wild strawberries. The flavour has also notes of said berries, some sweetness, but not as much as I feared. Very moderate hops.

330 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Made with gooseberries and fig opuntia / prickly pear. Moderately hazy golden to orange colour, minimal white head. Aroma of jam of said fruits, also notes of tangerine. Medium sour flavour of gooseberries, prickly pear and tangerine, also lactic acid. Hardly any bitterness. Refreshing and nice to drink.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%. Moderately hazy undefined pinkish-brownish colour, moderate to small off-white head. Aroma of more or less artificial "fruits of the forest" essence. Medium sour flavour of "fruits of the forest" essence and lactic acid. Drinkable, but not a beer I'll buy again.

On tap at Cardinal. Golden colour, small white head. Weak aroma, hints of artificial mango and peach essence. The flavour is not very sour, nor very sweet, but has again artificial notes of peach and mango essence. Not great.

The flavour is not too sweet, nor too sour, but has distinct notes of raspberries, redcurrants, vanilla and lingonberries, hints of chocolate and mint.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 6%. Opaque yellow colour, like a smoothie or a juice with pulp. Large yellow head does not last very long. Aroma of mango and passionfruit, some unfresh sidenotes. Moderately sour flavour, distinct notes of mango, weaker notes of passionfruit. Minimal bitterness.

440 ml can, from the brewery webshop. ABV is 4.5%. Deep red to purple colour, moderate pink head. Aroma of blackcurrants and lactic acid as expected, also some unexpected hints of broth, meat and spices. Light bodied. The flavour is not very sweet, but not extremely sour or tart either. Moderate notes of blackcurrants, fairly refreshing.

355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Pink to red colour, moderate off-white head with a hint of pink. Unusual aroma of cherries, marzipan, maple syrup, bourbon, vanilla and oak. The flavour is sweet but not cloying, again notes of cherries, maple syrup, bourbon and oak. Interesting, unusual - and good.

Strong sweetish aroma of ripe and over-ripe raspberries. Fruity flavour, sweet, but not as much as I feared. Raspberries and other undefined ripe fruits. Hardly any bitterness.

Not my cup of tea.

750 ml bottle, as Founders Blushing Monk 2015, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.2%. Beautiful clear red colour, moderate pinkish-white head. Lovely and intense aroma of ripe raspberries and raspberry candy. Sweet flavour (too sweet for some, I’m sure - but not for me), raspberries and raspberry candy galore, some tart hints and very moderate bittering hops the finish. The alcohol is well hidden, dangerously drinkable. A fine dessert beer. I was about to write "the big bottle is for sharing", but then I noticed it was empty - and I’m here alone. Oh well ....

Soft mouthfeel. Pleasant to drink.

Shared 375 ml bottle at local tasting, thanks to abemorsten. Reddish brown colour, moderate to low off-white head. Strong and intense aroma of ripe and over-ripe raspberries, strawberries and oak. Mouthppuckering and astringent dry flavour of oak, over-ripe raspberries and stale strawberry jam, hints of whisky and hops. Uh, well - INTERESTING, to say the least.
