1 liter brown PET bottle, kindly shared by gunnar. ABV is 4.8%. Upon opening the beer gushes out of the bottle, and continues to do so. Apparently infected. Cloudy golden colour, huge white head. Strong lemon aroma. Very lemony flavour, acidity galore, some spicy notes. Might be said to be "good" in a perverted way, but is too sour, and being obviously infected does not help much.

355 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 5.1%. Deep red colour, large pink head. Strong aroma of ripe raspberries and raspberry jam. The sweet and sour flavour has loads of raspberry extract / concentrate throughout, slightly astringent finish, with a hint of hops. Certainly not my everyday beer, but drinkable on a day you’re in for "something completely different".

355 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 5.1%. The colour is more brown than red, with a moderate off-white head. Strong aroma of strawberry jam and artificial "strawberry" candy, not fresh strawberries. The flavour has also notes of strawberry jam, but is not quite as sweet as I feared, and there are actually some hints of malts and hops to remind you that this is a beer. Refreshing when cold.

December 2015: 250 ml bottle, from Prima Beer. ABV is 3.5%. Red colour, pinkish-purplish head. Aroma of "fruits of the forest" and jam. Medium sweet flavour, "fruits of the forest" with an "artificial" and bland finish.

330 ml cobalt blue bottle, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.5%. Ancient pink colour, moderate to small off-white head. Aroma of artificial and unfresh real "fruits of the forest" blends. The flavour is somewhat fresher and better, notes of lemons, lactic acid and berries. Dull finish, low bitterness. Won't buy again.

440 ml can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.0%. Deep golden to orange colour, large off-white head. Strong aroma of artificial "pineapple" essence. Light bodied. Flavour also of pineapple essence, but not as strong and sweet as the aroma made me fear. A slight bitterness in the finish.

Aug. 2020: 330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Kvadrat, Sandnes. ABV is 4.0%. Clear amber colour, moderate white head. Intense and repulsive aroma of artificial mango and orange essence. The flavour has much of the same artificial essence, but is not as sweet as I feared. Sharpish bitter finish. Unbalanced and unpleasant - by far the worst beer I've had from Ægir. Drainpour. Do us a service, and bury this recipe!

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Nearly clear red colour, small white head. Aroma and flavour of redcurrants, hibiscus and lactic acid. Medium sour. Fairly refreshing.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet; Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%. Opaque yellow to orange colour, coarse and shortlived white head. Unfresh aroma of moldy oranges, lactose and stale marmalade. The moderately sour flavour is much better, notes of oranges, other citrus fruits, vanilla and lactose.

500 ml can, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy golden colour with a pinkish hue. Shortlived white head. Aroma and flavour of grapefruit soda, sweet. Some malts in the background. Fairly refreshing. Contains 50% beer and 50% lemonade / grapefruit soda, which means that the beer alone must have been 9.4%, unless alcohol has been added to the blend.

330 ml can, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 5.2%. Red colour, moderate pink head. Aroma of crushed cherries, redcurrants and lingonberries, some lactic acid. Sour flavour with lactic acid and distinct notes of said berries.

330 ml bottle, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 5.0%, IBU 35. Nearly clear golden colour, moderate white head. "Artificial" mango aroma. The flavour is not very sweet, but has "artificial" mango notes again, followed by a distinct sharpish, metallic and medicinal bitterness. Unbalanced, won't buy again.

June 2017: 250 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 3.8%. Served on the rocks as recommended. Yellow colour, large white head. Aroma of yellow fruits, basil and elderberry, also notes of artificial candy. Sweet flavour, notes of artificial candy, yellow fruits and candy. Not good.

750 ml bottle, shared with my son, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Clear red colour, moderate to small pink head. Aroma of blueberries, lactic acid and vanilla, hints of oak and red wine. Sour flavour, loads of lactic acid, blueberries and vanilla.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Brewed with redcurrants and sour cherries. Clear red colour, off-white head. The aroma and the medium sour flavour are as expected dominated by redcurrants and sour cherries, not too sweet, quite nice and refreshing.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%, IBU 7. Slightly hazy straw colour, small white head. Aroma of lime, lemon, mint and lemon verbena. Sweet and sour flavour of lactic acid, and the same elements as the aroma: Not something I'll buy again.

330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. Pink to peach colour, small off-white head of poor retention. Aroma of raspberries, cranberries and lactic acid, hints of spices. Mouthfeel and flavour of fruity acidity, not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. The spices are very moderate, and the hops seem to be non-existant. Still fairly refreshing.

I thought the "mango craze" in the brewing world was nearly over now, but apparently it is not quite dead yet ...
