2654 | Wychwood Scarecrow Organic Ale | United Kingdom | English Pale Ale | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. Golden colour, fluffy head diminishing rapidly. Moderate but pleasant hoppy aroma with citrussy elements and some toffee. Flavour is rather lager-like, with a grapefruity bitterness with some metallic notes in the finish. I started drinking it far too cold, improves a bit as it warms up, but not much. Reasonably refreshing, but no masterpiece. |

2663 | Allendale Hop On | United Kingdom | English Pale Ale | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 61. Nearly clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma has moderately fruity (berries more than citrus) and piney notes, also distinct notes of toffee. Surprisingly good body for a gluten free ale of this ABV. The slightly sweet flavour has the same elements as the aroma, and a distinct and rather sharp hop bitterness in the finish. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 On tap at Døgnvill Burger Bjørvika, Oslo. I was asked if I wanted draught or can, I went for draught, this was probably a bad choice, as the beer was too yeasty. Golden brown to reddish brown colour, moderate white head. Malty and yeasty aroma and flavour, moderate hops. Might sample again from can. |

2673 | John Martins Pale Ale | Belgium | English Pale Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 33 cl bottle, now available in Norway. Website www.anthonymartin.be Deep golden nearly orange colour. Large head. Aroma of sweet malts, molasses and rotting fruits, hints of spices and leather. Flavour is well hopped, but unfortunately there is an everpresent molasses and dark syrup sweetness in the background, making the beer too cloying to be something I’ll buy again when I have finished my 4 bottles. |
