2151 | Amager Kåååd | Denmark | IPA | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Will later also be available there on tap. Batch #595, ABV is 6.0%. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Attractive aroma of fruity American hops, also notes of spruce. The medium dry flavour is dominated by American hops throughout, fruity first, then resinous, and with a sharp bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. |

Aroma of roast malts, chocolate, cherries and vanilla. Very sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Smooth, but too sweet for me. |

2158 | 8 Wired Super Conductor | New Zealand | Imperial IPA | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, as 8 Wired Super Conductor Double IPA, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 8.8%. Crystal clear golden colour, apparently filtered. Moderate white head. Intense aroma of fruity NZ and US hops, a remarkable blend of lychee and other tropical fruits, citrus and white grapes. Also hints of spruce and caramel. The flavour is very hoppy, fruity, resinous and bitter, but also quite sweet. Far from "perfectly balanced", but still damned good and tasty. |

2163 | FiftyFifty BART (2013-2014) | United States | Strong Ale | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Shared 650 ml bottle, in Nevada City, October 2015. The bottle looked exactly the same as the picture, so I assume this must be the correct beer (12% ABV, brewed with honey, no mention of being brewed with coffee nor vanilla). Dark brown colour, fairly sweet and alcoholic, notes of honey, chocolate, bourbon, molasses and coffee in aroma and flavour. A fairly impressive beer, but still not as great as I hoped. |

2166 | Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel | Germany | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 Reddish brown colour, good head. Moderate aroma of oak and caramel malts. Medium body, typical dunkel, some toffee flavour but not too sweet. Must be good with food. Lightly hopped, pleasant, easy drinking. Maybe not the greatest beer in the world, but impossible to dislike, if you like beer at all. |

2167 | Augustiner München Dunkel | Germany | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.7
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Beautiful chestnut colour, very good head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, oak and roasted malts, initially weak but improves as the beer warms up. Roasted malts and some caramel in the flavour, still a bit thin mouthfeel. Relatively short aftertaste without much bite. A decent Munich dunkel, but I did like the Neumarkter Lammsbräu better! |

2168 | Einbecker Dunkel (Schwarzbier) | Germany | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 Reddish brown colour, bread yeast and just a hint of coffee in the aroma. Flavour leaves you with the impression of drinking this beer in a bakery (this is not necessarily an insult to the beer - it's probably an OK accompaniment with a few sandwiches or even Danish pastry). Drier than I expected. Not as good as the Einbecker Ur-Bock Dunkel (and not nearly as good as Aass Bock, which I enjoyed 1 hour earlier) - a bit watery, but still a drinkable dunkel that won't offend anyone. |

2169 | Lindemans Kriek | Belgium | Fruit Lambic | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Rerate: It takes some time getting used to beer with an overwhelming taste of cherries, but dammit - this is GOOD! Sweet and sour cherries galore - but I like it. A nice change of pace - will buy again. I'm upping my rating a few points. Original rating: I bought a bottle today purely out of curiousity. I willingly admit being prejudiced: My attitude is that if I want cherry juice, I buy cherry juice - and if I want beer (yes, I normally do!) then I buy beer. So how do I rate a combination of the two? The aroma was delicious, the flavour - well, it's the best cherry soda I've ever had. But to call it a BEER??? - and worth the price? - nooo! However, REFRESHING is a relevant word. |

2170 | Wychwood Black Wych | United Kingdom | Dry Stout | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 (500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark). Very dark reddish brown colour, moderate thick tan head. Moderate but pleasant roasted aroma, hints of tar and old woodwork. Flavour is all roasted malts, a bit thin mouthfeel compared to some other stouts, but refreshing. No masterpiece, but nice enough. |

2173 | Delirium Tremens | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml painted lightproof bottle, ABV 9.0%. Large head, surprisingly pale golden colour, slightly cloudy when yeast is poured. Excellent aroma, red fruits, barnyard and yeast, some oak. Flavour is reasonably malty, quite yeasty. Alcoholic warmth, relatively light bodied despite its strength. Aftertaste is a bit too sweet IMO. Overall quality does not quite live up to the beer's gimmicky name and bottle. |

2174 | Courage Directors Bitter | United Kingdom | Extra Special Bitter | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 Rerate, cask at the Station Hotel, Ipswich: Some of the same English malt vinegar aroma as Courage Best, but the flavour is fuller and richer with more pronounced hops. Original rating, 4.1: (Cask conditioned). One of my favourite English Bitters. Perhaps not so very special, but always drinkable. |

2175 | Abbaye de St Landelin Blonde | France | Belgian Ale | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 750 ml champagne style corked bottle, bought in Denmark. Pleasant fruity and yeasty aroma. Clear golden colour, good head. A light bodied (despite 6.5% ABV) blonde ale, aimed to please - and it does. Flavour is fruity sweet but not cloying, just a faint hint of spices. Easy drinking, some other raters seem to have expected a strong and dark Belgian to hit them in the head - forget that, this is a delicate French blonde to be savoured for what it is. I like it! |
