750 ml bottle, from Føtex Ebeltoft. ABV is 6.9%, IBU 5. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Champagne-like aroma, hints of lemon and passionfruit, slightly spicy. Citric mouthfeel. Refreshing crisp flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, hardly any bitterness.

(October 2013). 330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. BB date 09.08.13. ABV is 9%. Hazy deep golden to pale brown colour, moderate white head. Sweetish and spicy aroma, typical of belgian ale yeast - but also some "unfresh" hints, which may or may not be caused by aging. Quite refreshing flavour for a 9% beer, not as sweet as many other tripels, spicy and malty notes, hints of brown kandij sugar, despite the beer apparently being "Reinheitsgebot". Decent hops in the finish.

On tap at Prachtig, Rotterdam. ABV is 8.8%. Golden colour, large white head, leaves a nice lacing. Aroma and flavour of spicy Belgian ale yeast, pale and dried fruits, white kandij sugar syrup and moderate herbal hops. The alcohol is noticeable, but not disturbing.

Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour has citric and spicy hops, hints of tropical fruits, decent malts, and pine needles and resin in the finish.

Shared 375 ml corked & caged green bottle. ABV is 14.2%. Hazy and very dark brown colour, no head. Aroma of molasses, oak and coffee, boozy. Sweet flavour, distinctly malty with the same elements as the aroma, notes of old sherry.

330 ml bottle, as Ebeltoft Weissbier, shared by my son. ABV is 5.3%. Hazy golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of wheat, banana and cloves. The flavour has just the right moderate sweetness, and is wheaty, fresh and refreshing. Moderate notes of citrus, banana and cloves.

500 ml can, from SPAR Aalbæk. ABV is 5.5%. Brewed for Kissmeyer Brewing Co. at Theodor Schiøtz Brewing Co., Tværgade 2, 5000 Odense C. Hops are Mandarina Bavaria, Citra, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka. Malts are pilsner, pale, wheat, Munich and caramel. Brewed with apricot juice and orange juice. Cloudy brownish-yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Strong and pleasant aroma of pine and spruce, apricot and oranges. Distinct fruity flavour, notes of oranges, grapefruit and apricot, also resinous hops in the finish. Refreshing beer.

330 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Black colour, moderate to small creamy beige head. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate, orange peel, sprucetips and pine. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma. Maybe a tad too sweet, but still a fairly nice beer.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.1%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of Trappist yeast, white kandij sugar syrup and mild spices, a hint of orange peel. Fizzy mouthfeel. The medium sweet flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but the spicy notes are more distinct now. Also a noticeable hop bitterness in the finish.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%. Hazy orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of oranges and other citrus fruits, a hint of vanilla. Citric mouthfeel. The flavour has loads of oranges and vanilla, some lactose sweetness, low bitterness.

330 ml can, from Coop Mega Madla Handelslag. ABV is 4.7%. Black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, mild coffee and chocolate, also lactose and hints of vanilla, water from a flower bouquet and prunes. Soft mouthfeel. Smooth and somewhat fruity (plums / prunes) flavour, with the same elements as the aroma (minus the flower water), very moderate hops. Nice to drink.

500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, at a very reasonable price (for Norway, that is), probably the cheapest beer per liter you can get at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.1%. Moderately hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of banana and cloves. Banana and cloves in the flavour too, a little citrus, Hardly any bitterness. Well worth the money, might buy again.

330 ml red waxed bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.9%. Pitch black colour, large tan head. Aroma of roast malts, sweat, bourbon, oak and coconut. Roasty and slightly sourish flavour, notes of malts, coffee, red wine vinegar, bourbon, oak and coconut. Not as great as I anticipated.

330 ml test bottle from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 4.5%, 30 EBU. Hops are Sladek (bittering) and Amarillo (dryhopping). Slightly hazy golden colour, large white head. Lovely aroma of Amarillo hops, notes of tropical fruits, also some spruce and sweetish malts. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, but not too bitter. The bittering hops come through in the aftertaste though. Refreshing and fruity with resinous notes, medium dry. Light bodied as expected, but not watery. Quite enjoyable.

The flavour is on the sweet side, notes of sugar, oranges, tangerine and tropical fruits, hints of grapefruit, alcohol and resin, moderate bitterness.

Shared 750 ml bottle, thanks to gunnar. Deep golden colour, large to moderate white head. Spicy and oaky aroma, slightly oxidised. Oaky flavour, again slightly oxidised, but not unpleasant. Decent bittering hops, some kandij sugar.

Sweet flavour (but not quite as sickly sweet as I feared), with the same elements as the aroma. Minimal hops. Not bad at all, but hardly a beer I'll bother to buy again.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%. Deep golden to orange colour, only slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Aroma of orange marmalade and floral hops, hints of pine. The flavour is fairly dry, but has a sufficient malt base to support the Seville orangey, grapefruity and piney hops and the distinctly bitter finish / aftertaste.
