Dec. 2012: 750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.4%. Amber colour, large off-white head. Lovely aroma of fruity and floral hops. The fairly sweet flavour has notes of crystal malts, balanced by pleasant fruity and slightly spicy hops. Medium bitter finish.

330 ml bottle, from the brewery's off-licence. ABV is 4.7%. Deep reddish brown colour, large to moderate beige head. The aroma has the expected notes of chocolate and caramel, also hints of brown bread and burnt breadcrumbs. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, also fruity notes of prunes and a hint of honey, but not too sweet. A slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Very pleasant to drink.

Good mouthfeel for its ABV. Citric flavour, again hints of tropical fruits and oatmeal, with a nice and fairly distinct piney bitterness in the finish.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Dark brown to black colour, beige head. Malty and nutty (hazelnut) aroma, also notes of caramel and chocolate. Nutty and fruity (raisins) flavour, also chocolate, some sweetness but not too much. Low bitterness. I am sceptical to beers with hazelnut essence added, but I liked this one!

Aroma of pineapple and other tropical fruits, also citrus. Citric mouthfeel. The flavour has soft tropical fruits, also citrus and pine needles, moderately bitter finish. Nice and refreshing beer, but there is absolutely nothing "Christmassy" about it.
