750 ml bottle, unlabeled, many thanks to yngwie! Orange to amber colour, huge off-white head. Lovely hoppy aroma (Styrian Goldings), notes of spices, hints of oak. The flavour is fairly sweet and fruity with notes of oranges, apricot, brown sugar and spices (notably coriander). Some bitterness in the finish. Good beer!

On tap at the brewpub, ABV was 5.2%. "Orange brown" colour, low head. Lovely hoppy aroma (American hops), fruity / citrus / blackcurrants. The flavour has also a decent amount of American hops, decent malts too. A very nice and drinkable beer.

12 fl. oz. bottle, thanks to my son Steinar. ABV is 7.2%. Cloudy dark brown colour, big and creamy tan head. Very nice aroma of fruity American hops and oak, blackcurrants, marmelade, some vinous notes too. The mouthfeel is first soft and creamy and the flavour is first fruity smooth and alluring, then a treacherous and distinct hoppy bitterness sets in, accompanied by oaky and smoky notes. Very bitter aftertaste. An "arrogant" beer, perhaps - but not quite as arrogant as I feared. I am worthy!

Nice "Belgian" aroma, spices (incl. coriander), yeast and woodwork. The flavour is also spicy / peppery and woody, relatively dry with just a slight fruitiness. Good beer.

500 ml clear bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate head. Very nice hoppy aroma, notes of blackcurrants and tropical fruits. The flavour is fruity and hoppy throughout, notes of marmalade and grapefruit. Very refreshing and drinkable.

Complex aroma of malts, bakery, nuts, some spices, caramel and fruits. The flavour is malty and nutty with some caramel, some fruitiness too, hints of chocolate. Not much bitterness. A good try from Dalane.

The flavour is brimming with fruit/berries, caramel and malts, but is not too sweet, with a pleasant hoppy bitterness and some chocolate notes in the finish. Excellent beer, and quite amazing that it is only 4%.

Cask at the GBBF 2008. Golden colour, low head. Very nice hoppy aroma with notes of tropical fruits. Nice hoppy flavour, notes of grapefruit, hints of spruce / resin.

Forced draught at the GBBF 2008, as Trunk Weisse. ABV was 5.5%. Cloudy golden colour, big head. Typical hefeweizen with notes of cloves and banana both in the aroma and the flavour. Nice.

Cask at the GBBF 2008. Black colour, dark brown in the highlights, decent tan head. Lovely aroma of cherries on a background of milk chocolate. The cherries are also clearly noticeable in the flavour, but roasted malts, dark chocolate and mild coffee also come up front. Moderate bitterness in the finish. This beer is something out of the ordinary, but I’d still like some more malty sweetness.

Forced draught at the GBBF 2008. Murky brown opaque colour, big head. Very nice aroma of malts, lemons, banana and cloves. Same elements in the flavour, this is the most lemony dunkelweizen I’ve had. Good stuff.

Cask (hand pump / beer engine) at the GBBF 2008. Deep amber colour, minimal head. Interesting fruity and spicy aroma. Fruity and herbal flavour, slightly spicy, quite nice.

Cask at the the GBBF 2008. Amber colour. Very nice aroma of dark fruits, butterscotch and oak. The flavour is fairly well balanced between the malts (with some caramel) and decent hops.

Cask at the GBBF 2008. Black colour, dark brown in the highlights. Pleasant fruity and roasty aroma with a breath of sea air. The flavour has a moderate and smooth roastiness with a distinct fruity acidity at the side. The oysters don’t come through much though.

Pleasant aroma of malts with moderate notes of caramel, earthy and fruity hops (Styrian Goldings) also come up front. The flavour is malty and woody but not sweet, and there are plenty of hops throughout, with a fairly bitter aftertaste. Good beer!

The flavour is malty sweet and rich with moderate notes of spices, dark dried fruits and brown sugar. There is a subtle acidity to balance the sweetness, but the hops are moderate. This is a very nice Yule/Christmas beer, will go better with fruit cake than the traditional Scandinavian Christmas dinner.

500 ml bottle, brew #832. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Nice and creamy tan head. Fine roasted aroma with notes of chocolate, mild coffee and wood. Flavour of roasted malts and coffee, hints of chocolate and dark fruits. Decent bitterness in the finish. A well balanced porter, the best product from Inderøy so far.

330 ml bottle, thanks to yngwie. ABV is 4.5%. Black colour, big and creamy tan head. Very nice roasted aroma, notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Smooth mouthfeel with moderate carbonation, The flavour has first a moderate fruitiness, maybe a slight acidity, then distinct roasted notes with a coffee-like bitterness in the finish. Fairly dry. Moderate hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. A very drinkable stout.

Sample from 500 ml bottle, as Grand Imperial Porter, Westerheim stand at Smak 09. ABV is 8.0%. Extract / stammwürz is 18.1%. Very dark brown colour, moderate tan head. Moderate malty and roasty aroma, notes of bakery. Rich mouthfeel. The flavour is malty and sweet with roasted notes, plenty of caramel.

440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Cygnus X-1 Imperial Stout, from Vinmonopolet Hinna - Stadionparken. ABV is 10%. Black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, molasses and coconut. Warming mouthfeel. Sweet and rich flavour, notes of roast malts, chocolate / cocoa, vanilla, treacle and coconut.

500 ml bottle, as Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Brewed with organic ingredients. ABV is 6.2%. Hazy brownish golden colour, big head, slightly off-white. Strong and lovely aroma of ripe bananas and cloves. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is reasonably malty for a hefeweizen, with distinct notes of cloves. Very moderate hops. The alcohol is well hidden. Good beer.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Hazy pale golden colour, small white head. Pleasant aroma of citrus and tropical fruits, hints of spruce. Citric and crisp mouthfeel. The flavour is slightly dry and very refreshing, citrus notes with hints of tropical fruits and spruce, ending in a well balanced hop bitterness.

Cask half pint at The Flying Chariot (JDW), Heathrow Airport, terminal 2. Black colour, beige head. Mildly roasty and fruity aroma. Smooth, deliciously fruity and mildly roasty flavour, high drinkability. Will buy again if I can find it.
