7051 | Tuborg Lime Cut | Norway | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 330 ml clear bottle with a tear-off cap (thought those went out of fashion in the 70s?). Distributed (and probably brewed) by Ringnes (Carlsberg) for the Norwegian market. ABV is 4.5%. Extremely pale and crystal clear yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Weak aroma with hints of pilsener malts and artificial lime flavouring. Sweetish sugary flavour with notes of artificial "lime" again - and nothing else. No bitterness, nor any other indications that this actually is a beer. Jeezes - what a worthless "beer"! I’d rather have a glass of mineral water with a twist of real lime. Ringnes/Carlsberg have once again shown us that Tuborg is chosen as their bog standard brand in Norway. |

7053 | Tuborg Sommerøl | Denmark | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 3 500 ml can, a "summer beer" brewed for the Norwegian market. ABV is 4.5%. Somehow macro brewers have managed to convince Norwegian swill drinkers that they need "summer beers" that are even paler, thinner and more boring than their standard pilseners. And the Tuborg brand is Carlsberg’s "discount" brand in Norway, so you know what to expect ... Very pale yellow colour, low head. Grassy and artificial candy notes in the aroma. Flavour ... well, what flavour? This beer is nearly void of any flavour, there’s just a faint acidity to let you know that you’re not drinking water. Not worthy of the name "beer". |

7055 | CB Feriepilsen | Norway | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 (500 ml can). Very light colour, moderate head. Weak aroma. Hardly any flavour or aftertaste at all, just a hint of bitterness. If it wasn't for the alcohol you might as well drink CB's "crystal clear source water". As if their ordinary pilsener wasn't bland enough... This "vacation pils" needs to be sent on a looong vacation - on its own. Avoid! |

7057 | Lysholmer Pure Low Carb | Norway | Light / Lite Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 (440 ml can.) I knew what to expect here, but bought a can to rate it anyway! Pale golden colour, fizzy like a soda, no head. A slight fruitiness in the weak aroma, flavour is next to none. Fizzy water with alcohol. "To be served ice cold" - bah! Swill drinkers who love American "light" or low carb beers have now found a way to survive in Norway. People who love real beer, on the other hand, should avoid this sorry excuse of a "beer" by all means. |

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 330 ml green bottle, from a Bali supermarket. ABV is 0%. Very pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. "Chemical" sweetish aroma (various preservatives are actualy added to this "beer"), notes of unfermented wort, cooked vegetables, pear drops and rotting fruits and vegetables, pretty disgusting. Sweet flavour, sugary and "chemical", no bitterness. Undrinkable - a real drainpour. |

7064 | San Miguel Red Horse Beer | Philippines | Strong Lager | 1.2
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Sample from bottle at Vectura-messe, as Red Horse Beer. ABV is 8%. Brewed for San Miguel in Hong Kong. Clear golden colour. Awful aroma. Bad flavour too, drainpour. The only reason to drink this is if you are an alcoholic living on the street in Hong Kong in a cardboard box. |

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 March 2024: 330 ml can, from Rema 1000 Jørpeland. Distributed by Ringnes, produced by Carlsberg Litauen. Slightlly hazy pink to red colour, small off-white to pink head. Intense aroma of real raspberries and artificial raspberry essence. Sweet and sugary flavour of artificial raspberry essence and glucose syrup. Hints of lemon and malts in the background. Not very pleasant to drink - won't buy again. |

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Dec. 2019: 500 ml bottle, from SPAR Hirtshals. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate to small white head. Typical n/a beer aroma of unfermented pilsener wort and maize baby porridge. The flavour is first slightly citric, then grainy and unpleasant, ending in a metallic bitterness. Drainpour. |

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 473 ml can, now unfortunately available in Norway. ABV here is 4.1%. Golden colour, fizzy, moderate head. Surprisingly strong aroma of artifical candy. Fizzy mouthfeel, a little sweetness, no real flavour at all, hardly any traceable hops, no aftertaste. Crap. |

7073 | Marmara Gold | Turkey | Pale Lager | 1.2
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 1 litre green bottle, ABV (or was that ABW?) was 4.1%. Shared with my beerpal Olav who bought it in Turkey, thx! Pale golden colour, moderate white head. First a pleasant Heineken-like 'skunky' whiff when opening the the bottle, then a very unpleasant and bland aroma with notes of boiled vegetables and wet cardboard. Bland flavour with notes of rubber, glue and wet cardboard. Really, really dreadful. |

7074 | Suttungs Mjød | Norway | Mead | 1.2
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 500 ml bottle, at Vinmonopolet. The only commercially available Norwegian mead. Clear, nearly colourless like water, just a streak of greenish yellow. No head or carbonation. Weird strong aroma, with some good will I might say "interesting" - honey of course, lots of undefined herbs and spices, but also strong fruity (green apples) and grassy notes. Some unpleasant hints of vomit and cleaning agent. Very sweet with some honey notes, but tastes more like a sweet and really bad white wine with herbal off-flavours. Ugh. I guess meads are not my thing, and definitely not this one. |

7075 | Fjelløl Alkoholfri | Norway | Reduced Alcohol | 1.2
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 3 330 ml bottle, bought at LIDL Norway. Looks like a pale lager, gets a point for a tolerable head. Otherwise this is another offensive n/a beer, sweetish aroma and flavour with notes of grit, the usual n/a "boiled" notes are there. As with all(?) n/a beers: Avoid! |
