Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 September 2012: 500 ml can, shared by abemorsten. ABV is 4.9%. Pale golden colour, moderate to low white head. Sweetish aroma, notes of pilsener wort, maize and over-cooked vegetables. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is bland and fairly uninteresting, but not undrinkable. Hints of over-cooked vegetables again. |

6780 | Shumensko Spetsialno Pivo (Premium Beer) | Bulgaria | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml brown glass bottle with tear-off cap, as Shumensko Premium Beer. ABV is 4.6%. A gift, BB date seems to be 13.12.08. Extremely pale yellow colour, huge white head. Sweetish aroma with strong "chemical" notes, vile stuff. Soft mouthfeel. Bland and boring flavour with just a hint of sweetness and minimal hops, but not totally undrinkable. |

6781 | Berliner Kindl Weisse Waldmeister | Germany | Berliner Weisse | 2.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 3.0%. Signal green colour, low white head. Almond essence / marzipan aroma. Sour flavour with strong notes of almond essence / marzipan. Weird. The otherwise refreshing sour flavour does not blend in well with the sweetish marzipan elements. |

6782 | Stag Lager Beer Extra Smooth | Mauritius | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 250 ml green bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten, who brought it from Mauritius. ABV is 5.1%. Pale golden colour, low and short-lived white head. "Skunky" lightstruck Heineken-like aroma. Sweetish flavour, weak hops, but not undrinkable. Might work ice cold in the Mauritius heat. |

6784 | Mack Arctic Lite | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Sample from 500 ml can, at the Mack stand, Smak 09. ABV is 4.7%. Another low carb beer, what have we done to deserve this? Pale golden colour, low head. The aroma (as far as there is any) has a moderate fruitiness, not unpleasant though. Sharpish mouthfeel. Minimal flavour, but there are some very moderate hops in the finish. Boring. |

6785 | Aass After Beach | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml clear bottle. ABV is 4.7%. Pale golden colour, big white head. Weak aroma, notes of wheat and citrus. The flavour is moderately sweetish and slightly wheaty with just a hint of citrus, nearly void of any bitterness. Boring and overpriced. Might possibly be the same beer as Aass After Ski, with a different label? The brewery denies this, though. |

6786 | Beck's Green Lemon | Germany | Fruit Beer | 2.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 330 ml clear pale green bottle, a gift from my son Steinar (bought at Bremen Airport). ABV is 2.5%. Crystal clear greenish yellow (or yellowish green) colour, moderate off-white head with a greenish hue. Fruity weak aroma, notes of lime and lemons. The sweetish flavour has notes of lime and sugar, refreshing in its own peculiar way, hardly any bitterness. Blindfolded I would probably not have guessed that this was a beer at all. Not undrinkable though, at least when cold. |

6789 | Störtebeker 1402 Alkoholfrei | Germany | Reduced Alcohol | 1.9
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml bottle, bought in Sweden. ABV max. 0.5%. Crystal clear very pale yellow colour, big white head. Typical n/a beer aroma of baby porridge and over-boiled vegetables. Moderate carbonation in the glass, soft mouthfeel. The flavour has also the usual n/a beer "over-boiled" character. However, there are noticeable hops, also hints of citrus, making the beer a tad better than "undrinkable". Very far from "good", though. |

6790 | Hopback Summer Lightning | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 1.9
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 First time impression: Cask at The Grid, Southfields, London. Served too cold. Unbelievably high rating at the Great British Beer Festival. I still find the use of extremely bitter hops totally out of hand. Probably the first pint of my life that I was unable to finish. Undrinkable. If you guys like it, fine. I just don't. Sorry. Note: Looking at other ratings, I will have to sample this one again. My taste MAY have changed ... |

6791 | RedLight Super Premium Beer | Germany | Light / Lite Lager | 1.9
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml red can, now available in Norway ("hooray!" - NOT!). I saw this low carb beer in England too (but resisted buying it there), it’s contract brewed by German brewers Gebr. Maisel for some shady London company wanting to profit on the American-inspired "low carb" craze. www.redlightbeer.com Maybe Maisel feel as if their brewing skills are sold for "prostitution" (in terms of craft pride) - that could explain the "redlight" name of the beer... I’m sure it will become popular in the "redlight districts" of Europe - or maybe not .... Anyway, like all(?) low carb beers the colour is very pale straw coloured, head goes from large & fluffy to none. There actually is some aroma: grass and hints of citrus. Not much flavour of course, but better than feared, at least it’s not offensive - fairly clean with a faint hint of hops. Watery and slightly metallic mouthfeel, as expected. Aftertaste is next to none. But seriously - why "low carb" beers? Go for a walk in stead! |

6794 | Dà Rü Premium Beer | United Kingdom | Pale Lager | 1.9
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 As far as I know, "Da Ru Breweries UK" do not exist as a working brewery. Dà Rü Premium Beer seems to be the conception of a marketing company in Clerkenwell (Dà Rü Beer, 2nd Floor, 145-157 St John Street, London, ECIV4PY, UK), and is obviously contract brewed somewhere - does anyone know exactly WHERE? (Have a look and a laugh at the beer’s ridiculous website: www.darubeer.com ). Apparently aimed at the target group of Asian-British "Bollywood" clubbers. My notes of the beer: 330 ml bottle (picture of scorpion on the label), 4.2% ABV, bought at Cardinal (pub), Stavanger, Norway. Also available in the ICA Middelthon grocery store (Middelthon imported this beer to Norway). Extremely pale yellow colour, large to moderate head. Moderate camphorwood(!) aroma. Flavour is very dry and crisp, unfortunately with a nearly non-existant malty base, and very moderate hops. Some camphorwood notes in the flavour too. |

6795 | Ochakovo Svetloe | Russia | Light / Lite Lager | 1.9
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml clear glass bottle, at the Pushkin Restaurant stand at Gladmatfestivalen 2007, Stavanger. Served ice cold. Golden colour, minimal head. Minimal aroma, just a hint of honey. Fizzy mouthfeel. Standard industrial pale lager flavour, moderate bitterness. Not totally undrinkable, but boring. |

6796 | Aass Bayer Uten | Norway | Reduced Alcohol | 1.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml bottle. Copper coloured beer with a big off-white head. Typical n/a beer aroma with the usual sickly "boiled" notes (baby porridge, over-boiled vegetables), also some more pleasant hints of bakery and caramel. The flavour is bland and boring, again those sickly "boiled" notes, too much sweetness. A slight bitterness in the finish. Not for me this one. |

6797 | Grans Bare Lite 4.5% | Norway | Light / Lite Lager | 1.9
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, from REMA 1000. ABV is 4.5%. Another light / lite / low carb pale lager - oh God, what have we Norwegians done wrong to deserve being punished with this low carb wave? Pale golden colour, moderate head. Sweetish and rather sickly (rubbery) aroma. The flavour is not too bad for a lite beer, though - there is actually some hoppy bitterness. Could have been worse. |

6798 | Liefmans Yell'Oh On The Rocks | Belgium | Fruit Beer | 1.9
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 June 2017: 250 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 3.8%. Served on the rocks as recommended. Yellow colour, large white head. Aroma of yellow fruits, basil and elderberry, also notes of artificial candy. Sweet flavour, notes of artificial candy, yellow fruits and candy. Not good. |

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml clear bottle, from Rema 1000, Tau. ABV is 4.5%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of maize, pilsener malts and newmown grass. Dull and boring flavour, not quite as sweet as I feared though, with far too little hops, but not directly offensive. Next! |
