6726 | Big Drop Brewing Uptown Craft Lager | United Kingdom | Reduced Alcohol | 2.0
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 330 ml can, from leske.no . ABV is 0.5%, IBU 16. Gluten free. Clear deep golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Grainy and rather unpleasant aroma, hints of caramel and stale jam. The flavour is grainy and bland, but without unpleasant off-flavours. Hints of citrus, but the bitterness is low. |

6727 | Wychwood Ginger Beard | United Kingdom | Spiced Beer | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.2%. Clear deep golden colour, small white head. Sugary aroma of soda / pop, sweetish malts and ginger. Moderate carbonation. The flavour is way too sweet and soda-like - what is the point? The nice ginger burn in the finish can't save this beer from the "won't buy again" category. |

6728 | Mack Mikrobryggeri Royal IPA Med Mango | Norway | IPA | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 500 ml bottle, from Bunnpris Sauda. Brownish golden colour, loads of yeast floaties in the glass. Small and coarse white head. Aroma of yeast and over-ripe mango. Medium sweet flavour with dominant over-ripe mango throughout, a moderate bitterness in the finish. Won't buy again. |

6729 | SPAR Pilsner (Denmark) | Denmark | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Danish discount pils, brewed for the Spar grocery store chain. Can''t tell the difference between this beer and Star Pilsner + Neptun Pilsner. Are they possibly the same beer with different labels? Anyway, all of them are drinkable only when you''re broke and price is all that matters. (Yes, that HAS happened to me!) |

6731 | Berentsens Sommerøl | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Now brewed in Egersund. My comments while it was still contract brewed by Aass Bryggeri in Drammen: (330 ml bottle). Typical fizzy pale Norwegian "sommerøl / summer beer". Maybe slightly sweeter and a tad maltier than most of our "sommerøl" - a pale lager style which is the work of the devil, aimed at people who think (or are fooled into thinking) that an ordinary pilsener would be too heavy (sic!) for them on a warm summer’s day. Oh well ... I will rerate when they actually have started brewing this beer in Egersund, but I don’t expect too much - style considered. |

6733 | Amunds Pilsner | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml bottle, bought at LIDL Norway (contract brew). Very pale straw coloured, tolerable head. Weak aroma, hints of flowers and honey. Flavour is typical "neutral" pilsener / pale lager, but the "boiled" notes in the finish suggest that this beer might be brewed by Trio Bryggeri, Mack’s partner brewery (50% Mack ownership) in Southern Norway. Typical Trio house character. |

6734 | Supersol Lager | Netherlands | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 330 ml can, bought in Tenerife. ABV is 4.8%. Very pale golden colour, decent head. Weak aroma, some sweetish notes of maize (corn). Spritzy mouthfeel, moderately sweet, minimal hops. Thin. Typical run-of-the-mill contract brewed industrial lager. |

6735 | Grans Bare Paske Øl | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 (500 ml yellow can). This Easter Seasonal is barely discernible from Grans BARE ØL. These neutral discount pilseners are more or less all the same. Brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot, despite Gran's alliance with Danish crap brewers Harboes Bryggeri. |

6736 | Kulmbacher Gold | Germany | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 330 ml clear bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). Pale golden colour, decent head. The "skunky" whiff when opening the bottle is actually the best thing with this beer - the longer lasting aroma is sweetish and grassy, notes of maize (corn) even though this is a Reinheitsgebot beer. Flavour is very bland, just a little maize-like sweetness and minimal hops. Kulmbacher have obviously been tempted to produce a beer for the younger crowd of swill drinkers, people who really don’t like the taste of beer at all. Shame on you, Kulmbacher - you can do so much better than this! |

6737 | Hansa Lemon Pilsner | Norway | Fruit Beer | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Lemon soda drinkers will regard this one as a lousy lemon soda, beer drinkers will regard it as a lousy beer. No one will be happy. We don't need it. (Well, if you're dying of thirst, you might find it refreshing - no alternatives given). Having written that, I found myself craving this beer a couple days later, on a very hot day. Strange ... |

6738 | Hansa Sommerøl | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Not THAT bad - a light/pale summer pilsener that's intended to run smoothly down your throat. It does. Period. Rerate: This year's production has not improved the quality. Why on earth do all Norwegian breweries insist on making light/pale, bland and totally uninteresting 'summer beers', when their ordinary pilsners are summer beers good enough?? (Actually, the ordinary ones are much better). |

6741 | Ringnes Skjærgårds Pils | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Very light and pale thirst quencher for a hot summer's day. Not much taste, but not offensive either. Nice label! (The name and label refer to outdoor life and boating along the range of skerries on the coast, the favourite activity of many Norwegians in the summertime). |

6742 | Aass Halling | Norway | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 The Norwegian valley Hallingdal has from ancient times been famous for its strong homebrew and subsequent knife-fights. Aass Bryggeri's Halling beer is an insult to the proud people of Hallingdal. It's a lousy pils with little or no character besides being far too sweet. (Sampled 0,5 liter can.) |

6745 | Ringnes Lite 4,5 | Norway | Light / Lite Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Pale golden colour. Decent head. Sweetish "artificial" aroma, maize and some fruit, not very pleasant. Very light bodied, a little sweetness in the flavour with minimal hops, but not quite as bad as I expected from a low carb beer. |

6746 | Bira 91 Blonde Summer Lager | India | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 330 ml bottle, as Bira 91 Blonde Summer Lager, from Helgø Meny Stadionparken. ABV is 4.5%. Very pale golden colour, small white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and boiled rice, hints of newmown grass. Citric mouthfeel. Dull and "neutral" flavour, way too little hops. Won't buy again. |

6747 | Modelo Especial | Mexico | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 355 ml clear bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.5%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish Heineken-like lightstruck aroma, notes of maize. The flavour (as far as there is any flavour at all) has maize, grain and wet cardboard. Some weak citric notes, a little sweetness, minimal hops. As the beer is wet, cold and carbonated, it may serve some purpose under the Mexican sun - otherwise, it is one to forget. |

6748 | This is How to Tear Down This Wall Berliner Weisse Raspberry | Sweden | Berliner Weisse | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.8%. Hazy and "dirty pink" colour with a lot of unappetizing floaties, small head, slightly off-white. Aroma of lactic acid and over-ripe raspberries. Very sour flavour, lactic acid galore, notes of over-ripe raspberries, "empty" finish. Won't buy again. |

6749 | Schneeeule Hot Irmi | Germany | Berliner Weisse | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub, Stavanger. ABV is 3.5%. Hazy and very pale greyish straw colour, small white head dies out instantly. Distinct aroma of lactic acid and citrus zest, hints of ginger and chili. Extremely sour flavour of lactic acid, citrus zest in the background, followed by a vehement burn of habanero chilies and ginger. Sweet Jebus - what a mess! |

6750 | Mont Salève Hors-Série Cerises | France | Berliner Weisse | 2.0
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 330 ml bottle, as Mont Salève Hors-Série Cerises, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.2%. Gusher bottle. Hazy golden colour (no cherry colour), small white head of poor retention. Aroma of lactic acid, cherries / cherry kernels and marzipan. Very sour flavour, lactic acid galore, notes of sour cherries, lemons and marzipan. Way too sour for me, won't buy again. |
