Dec. 2018: Shared 500 ml can, bought in Cyprus. ABV is 4.5%. Pale golden colour, white head. Sweetish but fairly nice aroma of malts, floral hops and hints of honey. The flavour is first crisp and citrussy, but the finish has unfortunately notes of overcooked vegetables.

330 ml can, from Coop Extra, Tau. Clear golden brown to reddish amber colour, large off-white head. Aroma of malts, wort and caramel. Medium sweet flavour of malts, grain, wort and some caramel, minimal hops.

April 2017: 250 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Pours fizzy, crystal clear and very pale yellow colour, moderate but shortlived white head. Sweetish aroma of grass, malts and cookie dough. Fizzy mouthfeel, unpleasant. The flavour has notes of yeast, grass, some fruit and mild spices, some bittering hops in the aftertaste. Not something I’ll buy again.

500 ml can, as Tuborg Grøn Pilsner Økologisk (organic), from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 4.6%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish and grassy aroma. Sweet and malty flavour, just enough bittering hops to make it refreshing.

330 ml can, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. Clear and deep brown colour, large to moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, brown sugar, dark dried fruits. The flavour is not too sweet, but has the same elements as the aroma, with some sourish notes in the finish, and metallic hops in the aftertaste.

330 ml can, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 0.0%. Clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Citric aroma, a hint of plums too. Citric and thin mouthfeel. The flavour is citric and fairly dry, very moderate hops. None of the unpleasant off-flavours that many n/a beers have.

Shared bottle at RBNAG 2011. ABV 4.0%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Uninteresting typical industrial pale lager aroma and flavour, but not offensive. Thin body. Next, please! Rerate, 480 ml can, from EkoMarket, Stavanger. ABV is now 4.5%. The beer clearly benefits from a somewhat higher ABV. Maybe not a great beer, but not bad either. Clearly drinkable.

On tap at The Last Post, Guernsey (in August 2014). ABV is 4%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Some grassy notes in the aroma. Fairly bland flavour, but crisp and dry and unoffensive. A little hops in the finish.

Rerate, 275 ml clear bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Golden colour. Pours moderately fizzy with no head to speak of. Moderate aroma of cider apples and sulphites, hints of oak. Thin and watery mouthfeel. The very moderate flavour is quite dry, with notes of oxidised cider apples and sulphites.

330 ml bottle, from Bier Huis, Ossett. ABV is 4.3%. Golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of malts and wort, hints of grass and honey. Citric mouthfeel. The flavour has also notes of malts and wort, moderate hops. Not a favourite of mine.

500 ml bottle, from the Danish importer. ABV is 6.5%. Clear deep golden colour, huge white head. Sweetish aroma, more like 6.5% Czech lager than an IPA, notes of flowers, hints of oranges. Fairly sweet flavour, some oranges, caramel and alcohol, followed by a surprisingly sharp and very bitter medicinal finish. Unbalanced. Did not like this one much.

330 ml can, from Coop Extra Prestemarka, Tau. ABV 4.7%, IBU 25. Slightly hazy deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of pine, hints of grapefruit and oranges. The flavour is distinctly piney / resinous and "dusty", with less distinct notes of said fruits. Appears unfresh and unpleasant. Not a beer I'll buy again. A pity Berentsens could not make a better show of it.

330 ml brown swingtop bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger - for the target group who otherwise would drink Amstel Pulse, Corona or Budweiser. ABV is 4.8%. Very pale yellow colour, large white head. Fairly strong sweetish aroma with grassy notes, hints of artificial candy. Soft and bland flavour, a little malty sweetness, hardly any bitterness at all. No offensive side flavours though, if that can make anyone happy.

August 2020: 330 ml bottle, as Salamander Dagens Pils, batch #0037, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. Pale golden colour, moderate to small white head. Grassy and herbal aroma, notes of German noble hops. Standard pilsener flavour, a little grassy sweetness, some sourish notes in the end. A bit more bittering hops would not hurt.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.6%. Disgusting appearance, muddy grey-ish ancient pink colour, with loads of floaties, small off-white head. Aroma of chocolate chip cookie dough (they're not lying) and cocoa. The flavour is medium sour with notes of red berries (particularly strawberries) and lactic acid, also distinct notes of chocolate chip cookie dough. Weird, to say the least, but not undrinkable.

330 ml bottle, as Habesha Cold Gold Beer, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 5.0%. Crystal clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Sweetish aroma of malts, hints of honey and flowers. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of malts, grain, a little citrus, moderate herbal hops. Not too bad.

July 2016: RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at BierCab. Hazy brownish / amber colour. Malty and alcoholic aroma and flavour, some bitterness, but this was far from a well balanced and good beer.

September 2016: 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, coarse white head. Aroma of yeast and wort. The flavour has some fruity acidity, moderate malts, decent hops (Hallertauer Mittelfrüh).

2007: 330 ml bottle, 4.6% ABV export version. Courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Also available in Norwegian grocery stores. Pale golden colour, decent head. Moderate citrussy aroma. The flavour is slightly citrussy and quite refreshing, without any offensive sidenotes. Very moderate hops in the finish. A light refreshment for a day in the Spanish sun - no more, no less.

January 2016: Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, from Prima Beer. 6.8% ABV. Golden colour, white head. Malty and dusty aroma. Malty and dusty flavour too, a bit unfresh, moderate hops. Not great.

The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear, fairly crisp and "neutral", some citric notes, but the bitterness is too low. Far from undrinkable though.

500 ml bottle, as Funky Fluid Free Crazy Hazy IPA, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 0.5% or less. Hazy / opaque straw colour, moderate white head. Aroma of wort and grain, hints of citric hops. Smooth and citric mouthfeel. Flavour of citric and piney hops, a sufficient malt body, moderate bittering hops in the finish.
