6576 | Kilikia | Armenia | Pale Lager | 2.3
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml green bottle, many thanks to the ever attentive yngwie, who this way gave me a new "beer country" on my list. ABV is 4.8%. Appears to be imported to Sweden via France. Golden colour, large and lasting white head. "Skunky" Heineken-like aroma (which I do not necessarily find horrible) , also some less pleasant vegetable notes. The flavour is first slightly citrussy and refrehing, then overtaken by unpleasant notes of cardboard, over-boiled vegetables, dust and metallic hop extract. Disgusting aftertaste. Sure, you could probably survive on Kilikia in the Armenian summer heat, but there is hardly any reason to export this stuff. |

6577 | Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin | United States | Spiced Beer | 2.3
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.0%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, like the "normal" Sculpin, but with the grapefruity and piney notes from the hops enhanced by added grapefruit. Good stuff. |

6578 | Beerlao Dark | Lao | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 2.3
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. ABV is 6.5%. Dark reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Unusual aroma, marzipan / artificial almond flavouring, some caramel and rice. The flavour has some caramel malts, but is not very sweet. Hints of almond essence again. Esoteric, but not a great beer. |

6581 | Abbeydale Daily Bread | United Kingdom | Extra Special Bitter | 2.3
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 440 ml can, from Bier Huis, Ossett. ABV is 3.8%. Gusher can, fortunately I opened it over the sink and not over my laptop. Copper colour, huge head, slightly off-white. Aroma of yeast, caramel and brown bread. Flavour of malts, caramel and brown bread. Not much to write home about. |

6582 | Dos Equis XX Special Lager | Mexico | Pale Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Rerate, 330 ml green bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma has maize and some fruit, not unpleasant. The flavour is (well, what flavour?) not offensive, at least when the beer is ice cold. Some "freshness" made it quite drinkable with pizza, and if that is your only ambition, it should work well. The beer enthusiast will of course look for more flavourful beers. |

6583 | Little Valley Python | United Kingdom | IPA | 2.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml sample bottle, a gift, as Little Valley Organic Python IPA. Brew #207, BB date 19.06. 2011. ABV is 6.0%. Cloudy brownish golden colour, large white head. Strong lemony and acidic / vinegary aroma, also hints of wild yeast / farmhouse. The flavour is very acidic, lemony and vinegary, with a sharp hoppy biiterness in the finish. This is the second beer past its BB date I’ve had from Little Valley, they have both gone sour. Apparently you should not even CONSIDER drinking their beers if they are past their BB date. Will rerate if I can find a fresh bottle. |

6584 | Bali Hai Draft Beer | Indonesia | Pale Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml can, from a Bali supermarket. ABV is 5%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Strong grassy aroma, also notes of flowers and artificial candy. Fairly sweet flavour, bordering on "sugary", some malts, some fruit, minimal bitterness. Not undrinkable when cold - certainly not something to search out, but as it seems to be available in every supermarket in Bali, you take what you can get ... |

6585 | Daleside Santas Progress | United Kingdom | Bitter | 2.2
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Cask pint at Wetherspoons, London Victoria Station. Cloudy orange-brownish colour, low off-white head. Very moderate aroma, a little malts, a hint of butter. Minimal carbonation, poor condition. Initially dull flavour, quite dry. Some earthy hops in the finish cannot save the beer from falling in the "boring" category. Daleside can do better than this - and JDW should serve their beers in better condition. Could not finish the pint. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml can, brought home from Cyprus by my wife. ABV is 4.5%. Very pale goldeen colour, fluffy head. Moderate citrussy and grassy aroma. Thin mouthfeel, moderate flavour with a touch of citrussy hops. Not great, but not offensive either. |

6588 | Mack Fluid Fine Lager Beer | Norway | Pale Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml slimline can. ABV is 4.7%. Brewed with ecological (organic) ingredients. Crystal clear pale yellow beer with big bubbles and a decent white head. Sweetish aroma, fruity first, then only some maize and grain notes remain. Fizzy mouthfeel. Sweetish and sugary flavour, some malty notes, minimal bitterness. Drinkable, but far from interesting, and over-priced. |

6589 | Carlsberg Christmas Brew | Norway | Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml can. ABV is 4.6%. Deep golden colour, large head. Weak sweetish and "unfresh" aroma with notes of boiled vegetables, hints of cinnamon. Moderate carbonation. The flavour is like one of Ringnes’ other uninteresting and sweetish "modern" lagers, with some cinnamon added. Drinkable, but not a beer that will bring much happiness to your Christmas, that’s for sure. |

6590 | Grans Lett Julegran | Norway | Reduced Alcohol | 2.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml green bottle. Like all Grans beers, it is available only in REMA 1000 stores. Bronze coloured beer, large off-white head. The aroma has notes of malts, caramel and cooked vegetables, hints of spices. Fairly thin mouthfeel, as expected from a 2.4% beer, but the flavour actually has SOME malts and hops, with a slightly sourish finish - so the beer is a little "better" than I feared. |

6591 | Baltika 3 (Classic) | Russia | Pale Lager | 2.2

Very moderate aroma, some pilsener malts and a weak fruitiness. Very light bodied, relatively dry, very moderate bitterness. Cold, refreshing and easy drinking, but boring. |

6592 | Grans Bare Jul | Norway | Vienna / Amber Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, sold only in REMA 1000 stores. ABV is 4.7%. Clear amber colour, moderate off-white head. Weak aroma, notes of caramel, baby porridge and over-boiled vegetables. Thin and watery mouthfeel. The flavour has some caramel and malts, but is otherwise fairly bland and boring, not very sweet. Minimal hops, hardly any bitterness. |

6593 | Lysefjorden Bayer | Norway | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Reddish brown colour, very small head, slightly off-white, moderate carbonation. Aroma of malts, caramel and brown bread, a hint of dark fruits. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour has some acidic notes, but not to an unpleasant degree. Otherwise the same elements as the aroma. Drinkable, but you'll get better dunkels from industrial breweries, to a lower price. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml can, in Tenerife. ABV is 5.0%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Weak "dusty" aroma with just a hint of wort and cooked vegetables. Fizzy mouthfeel. Typical industrial pale lager flavour, a little sweetness, and a moderate and "dusty" bitterness in the finish. |

6596 | Oettinger Pils | Germany | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, bought in Spain. ABV is 4.7%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, notes of candy, some floral and grassy notes too. The flavour is too sweet for a German pils, some artificial "candy" notes, but the beer is still drinkable. A little bitterness in the finish. Not something I’ll buy again, though. |

6598 | Sofiero Original 3.5% | Sweden | Light / Lite Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, from REMA 1000. ABV 3.5%. The first Swedish "folköl" in Norway, hurra! - NOT. Very pale yellow colour, big white head. Sweetish aroma, grassy and sugary notes. Bland flavour and thin mouthfeel as expected, but no really offensive sidenotes detected. A little hops makes this a tolerable refreshment when cold - but only if you have nothing better around. |

6599 | Lager Premium | Netherlands | Pale Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml supermarket can, a gift from my brother, bought in Italy. ABV is 4.7%. Pale yellow colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of maltose, grass and artificial candy. The flavour is sweet and sugary, with very moderate hops. Lacks the crisp flavour of a decent pilsener. Typical industrial supermarket pale lager. |

6600 | Fucking Hell Original | Germany | Helles / Dortmunder | 2.2
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, as Fucking Hell Original, kindly shared by gunnar. A helles named after the Austrian village Fucking - what did you think it was? Brewed in Germany. Very pale golden colour, low white head. Very little aroma, a hint of grass and flowers. Moderate flavour, a little sweetness, a little bitterness in the finish. Nothing spectacular here, except the name ... |
