July 2013: 500 ml can, a treat from a neighbour. Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma with some grassy and herbal hops. The flavour is a bit too sweet for a pilsener, but there are still enough hops around to make the beer drinkable.

Aroma of over-ripe berries ("fruits of the forest"), lactic acid and lactose. Very sweet flavour, lactose galore (overkill), also lactic acid and loads of said berries. Won't buy again.

750 ml clear bottle, from Helgø MENY Hundvåg. ABV is 4.5%. Clear golden colour, pours vigorously sparkling with a large to moderate white head. Aroma of apples and artificial candy. Sweet flavour of eating apples and ascorbic acid, hints of candy. Not a cider I'll buy again.

Aug. 2010: 330 ml bottle, bought at Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 8%, brewed by Het Anker. Very pale yellow colour, hazy in the end, huge white head. The aroma has notes of "Green Apples Shampoo", Belgian ale yeast and spices. The flavour is fairly refreshing for its strength and moderately spicy, notes of green apples again, also notes of white candi sugar and artificial candy, unpleasant soapy aftertaste. Overall disappointing.

May 2012: 500 ml bottle, from NETTO. Økologisk / organic. ABV is 4.6%. Golden colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of floral hops, some sweetish malts too. The flavour has some malty sweetness, and is not very "crisp". Some floral hops again, but the bitterness is too moderate. A hint of honey. A drinkable pilsener, but does not really stand out from the crowd.

Feb. 2013: 500 ml brown bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.7%. Clear brown colour, moderate off-white head. Strong aroma of damson / plums, over-ripe raspberries and some weird fruity cough syrup I bought in Scotland once. The flavour is fruity and slightly roasty, notes of plums, over-ripe raspberries and cough syrup again. Moderate hops. Pretty weird beer.

330 ml can, from Helgø Meny Stokka. ABV is 4.7%. Murky yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of orange soda and orange zest, a hint of vomit. Sour flavour, distinct notes of orange zest and lactic acid. Kind of refreshing, but hardly a beer I'll bother to buy again.

500 ml can, from EkoMarket, Bryne. ABV is 4.6%. Crystal clear and very pale straw colour, huge white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and newmown grass. "Neutral" pilsener flavour, fairly crisp with moderate bittering hops, but at least there are no offensive off-flavours. Better than I feared.

500 ml can, from a grocery store in Norway - I won't say which one, because the can had a sticker (in German) saying that the ABV is 5%. The max limit for selling alcohol in grocery stores in Norway is 4.75%. Bought in May 2024, so I doubt that the can was as old as 2022, but if that was the last year with 5.0% ABV, so be it. BB date 13.03.2025. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of malts, hay, honey, flowers and newmown grass. Surprisingly dry flavour, rather "neutral", moderate hops. Not undrinkable.

On tap at Top1 Forever restaurant, Royal Victoria Dock, London. Pale golden color, low white head. Aroma and flavour are more malty than hoppy, this is more of a Bavarian Helles than a Pilsener. Moderate diacetyl comes through as the beer warms up a little.

Moderately sweet malty flavour, some herbal hops in the finish. Drinkable, but hardly a beer I'll buy again, even though it is cheap.

Mouthfeel and flavour of fruity acidity, not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. The spices are very moderate, and the hops seem to be non-existant. Still fairly refreshing.

June 2015: 750 ml bottle, as Birra del Borgo Genziana con radici, from Vinmonopolet. BB date March 2015. ABV is 6.1%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish malty and herbal / vegetable aroma. The flavour is also quite sugary sweet, notes of malts, caramel, herbs and vegetables (the radishes, I assume). Low bitterness. Not really my cup of tea. Drank it moderately chilled - might be more refreshing ice cold.

330 ml bottle, batch #1468, as Lindesnes LB Snekkepils (Marna is no longer mentioned on the label), from Gulating ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy deep golden to orange colour, very small white head. Aroma of old jam, malts and wort, a hint of chocolate(!). The flavour is malty and yeasty with a moderate citric fruitiness, quite bitter aftertaste.
