6180 | Perlenbacher Premium Pils | Germany | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 500 ml bottle, from LIDL Norway. ABV here is 4.7%, in Germany it is 4.9%. Very pale golden colour, moderate head. 6183 | Schloss Premium Pils | Germany | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 500 ml brown PET-bottle, a gift from Germany. It is "Gebraut und abgefüllt in Deutschland" - "Exclusively for Plus" (a German supermarket chain?), "By: HGI Hanseatische Getränke-Industrie GmbH, 22755 Hamburg". ABV is 4.9%. Pale golden colour, large head. Sweetish fruity aroma, not bad. The flavour is rather moderately hopped for a German pils, there is a very moderate sweetness in the background. Not a great pils by any means, but not repulsive either. At least it is "Reinheitsgebot" ... I guess this is pretty much what you can expect from German contract brewed supermarket discount pilseners. |

From "Traditional Scottish Ales Ltd.", apparently contract brewed for them by Bridge of Allan Brewery. ABV was 4%. Deep amber colour, nice head. Aroma of dishwater and malts. Dusty malty flavour, quite boring. |

6187 | Van Diest Fruli Strawberry Beer | Belgium | Fruit Beer | 2.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 250 ml bottle, bought at Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.1%. Cloudy brownish red colour, large pinkish head. Intense sweet aroma and flavour of strawberry jam and artificial "strawberry" candy bars, kind of sickly and sugary. Not undrinkable though. If blindfolded, I would probably not have guessed that this was a beer at all. Not my cup of tea (uh, beer) this one, but people who love candy and strawberry soda might like it. |

6188 | Nevskoe Svetloe | Russia | Light / Lite Lager | 2.7

Sweetish and fruity pale lager aroma, not offensive. The flavour is slightly citrussy with a moderate sweetness and very moderate hops. Could have been worse. |

6189 | Efes Fiçi Bira | Turkey | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml brown bottle, Fiçi Bira, special design. ABV is 5%. Shared with my beerpal Olav who bought it in Turkey, thx! Golden colour, moderate white head. Initially a whiff of standard pilsener aroma with some hops, then a very moderate sweetish aroma with notes of malts and maize. Standard pilsener flavour, no offensive sidenotes (unlike other Efes beers), moderate hops. |

6190 | Abbaye de Floreffe Double | Belgium | Abbey Dubbel | 2.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.3%. Very dark brown colour, big beige head. The aroma has some unpleasant notes of stale chocolate and stale berries, also notes of anise. The flavour is moderately sweet and slightly fruity with notes of anise and malts. The anise seems entirely misplaced in a dubbel. This is not a beer for me. |

6193 | Krune Sider (Crown Cider) | Norway | Cider | 2.7
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 750 ml corked "champagne" bottle. Vintage 2003. As far as I know, this is the only commercially produced craft cider from Norway (the other Norwegian "ciders" are more or less industrial alcopops made with a little apple or pear juice). Very expensive (NOK 145 at Vinmonopolet). Pours very fizzy (strong natural carbonation), no lasting head, carbonation dies out quickly. Pale yellow colour. Aroma of fresh and fermenting apples, notes of oak and apple cider vinegar. Flavour is sweet (too sweet) and alcoholic, notes of oak and vinegar, hints of spices. One small glass is enough. Apparently the 3 apple varieties used (Aroma, Gravenstein and Torstein, all good to eat) are not ideal for cider production. Overall disappointing. Will not buy again. |

6194 | Mack Fembøring | Norway | Lager | 2.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 (330 ml bottle). Amber colour, good head. Aroma is quite good, some caramel and oak. Flavour is a major disappointment, surprisingly tasteless, bland and boring, with some fusel notes (I did not have the beer as a chaser with aquavit, which is the brewery's recommended use of this beer). Aftertaste is short and not very good. Low bitterness. Not recommended! |

6196 | Borg Pilsner | Norway | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.7
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 Brewed by Borg Bryggeri in Sarpsborg, part of the Hansa Borg brewery group. (500 ml can). Pale golden colour, decent head that doesn't last very long or leave much lacing. Light flowery / grassy aroma, very light bodied, typical run of the mill pilsener - nothing offensive, but not great. Low bitterness. Reminds me of Tropical Pils (Las Palmas). |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml green bottle with a green label, simply called "Yanjing Beer", in France. ABV was 4.5%. I presume this is the same beer. Pale golden colour, large fluffy head. Grassy aroma, not unlike Tsingtao and Heineken. Relatively dry pale lager flavour, not offensive. |
