6051 | Lofotpils Nordnorsk Jul | Norway | Vienna / Amber Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 February 2020: 330 ml bottle, probably from Det Gode Brygg, Kvadrat. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 22. Clear and beautiful reddish brown colour, large to moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of caramel, brown bread and syrup. The flavour is malty but not too sweet, notes of caramel and brown bread again, also a slight prune-like fruitiness, moderate earthy hops in the finish. Drinkable, but no masterpiece. |

6062 | Bzart Single Hop | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 750 ml corked and caged "champagne" bottle, from the Norwegian importer, as Bzart Single Hop Tradition Brut Nature. Apparently Tradition is the hop variety used. ABV is 14%. Does this beer need a split? Hazy golden colour, large white head. Interesting aroma - farmhouse, oak, leather, over-ripe apples, honey. Very sweet and alcoholic flavour, certainly not "brut". Sugar, honey, alcohol, some bittering hops. Unbalanced. Whatever the idea was behind this beer, they did not succeed. |

6063 | Ritterguts Lichtenhainer Weisse | Germany | Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.3%. Pale golden colour, large white head. Wheaty aroma, hints of fart and smoke. Fizzy mouthfeel. Medium sour flavour, notes of lactic acid and lightly smoked wheat malts, also some fruity notes reminiscent of yellow plums. Low bitterness. Not bad, not great, historically interesting - but there is probably a reason that the Lichtenhainer beer style died out. |

6065 | Sapporo Premium Lager | Japan | Pale Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Oct. 2005: 330 ml bottle, as "Sapporo Premium Lager", brewed "under license in the EU". Ingredients are water, malts, hops and hop extract - no maize (corn) or rice here. Different recipe? Bought in Norway at Ultra. ABV here is 4.7%, to comply with our 4.75% upper limit for beers sold in grocery stores. Pale golden colour, large head. Flowery sweet aroma, not unpleasant. Flavour is surprisingly clean tasting, no sign of adjuncts and off-flavours, tolerable hops. Well, it’s a light bodied pale lager - I don’t expect miracles, but it sure was a lot better than I feared. |

6066 | BrewDog Abstrakt AB:10 | United Kingdom | Strong Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5 375 ml corked & caged green bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.5%. Bottle No. 9861 out of 9987. Very dark brown colour, thin beige head. Aroma of malts, molasses, fusel, dark dried fruits and stale jam. Minimal carbonation in the mouth. Sweet and alcoholic flavour of molasses, dark dried fruits and oak, fairly bitter finish. Warming mouthfeel. Like most other BrewDog Abstrakt beers: Not worth the money. Won’t pay for any more of them myself. |

6067 | Against The Grain Kamen Knuddeln | United States | Wild Ale | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 650 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 6.5%. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Sourish malty aroma, hints of bourbon, oak and rye bread. Medium sour and malty flavour - and that’s about it, very little here that invites you to take another sip. Could not possibly finish a whole bottle on my own. |

6068 | Kinn Kinn Kinn! | Norway | Fruit Beer | 2.8
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 4 750 ml bottle, batch #1971, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Opaque and "dirty" peach colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate aroma of rhubarb, solvent and dust, a hint of strawberries. The flavour is better than the aroma, a distinct fruity acidity of rhubarb, only a hint of strawberries. The solvent notes from the aroma unfortunately ruins the drinking experience. Won't buy again. |

6073 | Singha Gold | Thailand | Pale Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (grocery stores). The "little brother" of the ordinary Singha, which also is available here (at Vinmonopolet). Pale golden colour, large and lingering head, very moderate carbonation. Tolerable fruity and grassy aroma. Fairly "neutral" lager flavour, some malty sweetness and moderate hops - not a great beer, but fortunately without the nasty "industrial" and metallic sidenotes that so many pale lagers are cursed with. Drinkable swill for the beach in Thailand. |

6074 | Søgaards Julebuk | Denmark | Bock | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Sample on tap at the brewpub, on the day of its release for the Christmas season 2005. I think the waiter might again have screwed up the samples here ... Golden colour, much paler than the description. Hints of vomit in the aroma, not very pleasant. Tastes like a reasonably hoppy pale bock / premium lager, nothing Christmasy about it. |

6075 | Pietra | France | Vienna / Amber Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, labeled Pietra Bière Ambrée, bought in France. My first Corsican beer. Amber colour, large head. Nutty aroma with toffee and undefined herbal notes. Flavour is moderately malty with not-too-good hops, the chestnuts shine through. Chestnut powder in beer, WTF? Some strange medicinal character and a bitter finish and aftertaste. Not my favourite this one. |
